I was just wondering what #gaming thinks of the most useful or essential perks fallout 4 has to offer?
I think getting locksmith and hacker to both rank 3 is great for exploring absolutely everything.
Maxing life giver let's me heal while I'm exploring so I don't have to find a bed or waste stimpaks. Strong back is also useful for carrying more.
Bloody mess is great for +% damage for everything.
What perks do you guys believe are essential to surviving the Wasteland?

Max out ninja and sandman and marksman rifle. Get a silenced 50 cal. Go in sneak mode and 1 shot anything that stands in your way

All aboard the pain train.

Local Leader : For the settlement building addicts! Haha. Generally though I love pistols and being in stealth. Makes gameplay a lot slower sure but more much fun for me plus it saves ammo. I carry three legendary suppressed advanced 10mms. Irradiated for raiders Plasma for synths Staggering for death claws (stun lock city). And one suppressed gauss rifle for the bosses (two shots mirelurk queens). Anything that looks after them and then perks for terminals and locks and ALL crafting (I have missed blacksmith and I'm level 51 but I'll get it soon).

Get the perk that gets you more Ammo. Scrounger Max out safe and terminal perks Gun nut and science Never want to run out of ammo Never want to pass up a safe or terminal
-
DONT GET LOCKSMITH. Just get cait as a follower and she can unlock any lock wether novice or master.
-
All of them

Luck is simply amazing. Better criticals, critical banker, grim reaper's sprint, four leaf clover. Criticals for days if you use a lot of VATS during combat.
-
Charisma it's the only way to.......
let Danse live
1 ReplyThe one where if you step in a rad zone you get health back
-
All of them ;) just get high enough level to unlock all perks

1 ReplyI'm working my way towards ghoulish and another pick in the endurance tree. Ghoulish causes radiation to heal you and the one perk causes sun to heal you.

I usually push rifleman, gunslinger, and life giver, but V.A.N.S is useful as hell.

With the right build, idiot savant is a really good one. It gives you a chance to get multiplied experience, and the lower your intelligence is, the higher the chance. I made a file with intelligence at 1 and luck at 7 initially, and he leveled up so fast

1 ReplySome essentials IMO are: Locksmithing Hacking Aquaboy(very useful, not a must though) Bloody mess Gun nut(for gun builds) Science Armorer Blacksmithing(for melee builds) Nuclear Physicist Local Leader That's just a few, many more great ones, just too many to pull from the top of my head.

Rifleman, sneak, sandman, ninja, slap a silencer on your sniper and the overseers rifle and the game is easy as piss even on survival.

Rifleman, more Crits, sneak, ninja,

1 ReplyAquaboy has been great help

I can tell you that Ricochet is not essential But it is pretty -blam!-in funny when it goes off
-
I like to use lots of perception strength endurance and agility because I like combat but I also use a bit of intelligence but a bit of charisma

1 ReplyNinja / mister sandman Ridiculous how much damage you do

4 RepliesEdited by QueCyraCyra: 11/20/2015 11:34:31 AMWell one perk I'm quite enjoying is Idiot Savant, basically at rank one you randomly get 3x Xp for anything, the next rank gets you 5x xp and then rand 3 gives you a 3x xp buff for all kills over a certain amount of time... Btw the lower your intelligence the higher a chance you have at having the perk activate.
-
My advice is to prioritize taking crafting perks that fit your combat style when leveling up. Next in importance are Locksmith and Hacker. After this should be weapon perks that fir your combat style. From here there is no real hierarchy, just choose what you want/upgrade SPECIAL stats to allow for more perks Also, Life Giver, Awareness, and Aqua Boy are universally useful. If Power Armor is your thing, Nuclear Physicist is must.

The one that boosts ammo finds, can't remember the name.
