Tree, what's your opinion on the Ahamkara being a form of dragon that has "ingested" a worm? Similar to how the Hive became the Hive after they accepted the worms, would the dragon become Ahamkara? Based off this theory, I wonder if Savathun and her followers sought to vivisect the dragons to possibly remove their worms since she wanted the worm for the Hive only. Maybe the worm, their god, laughed at the vicious ends their hosts would go to in order to solidify their place as the only "bearer" of the worms. Which also plays into the Hives belief that what can be killed deserves to die. From the perspective of a god considering these circumstances I can see how they would laugh malevolently at this. I haven't heard this theory before, I'm interested in your opinion.

  • I don't personally back this theory. I know many others do

It just doesn't make sense to jump to the conclusion that the Ahamkara are the Worms, directly. You set up all the logical arguments...then the conclusion wasn't supported. Example: A: Fire is hot. A: Heat can be painful. C: Heat tastes like candy. It more logically points to Oryx being pissed at the Ahamkara for becoming Worm hosts + the "dragons" of Ana-Harmony were granting wishes + getting pissed at the "dragons" and wanting to "shut them all in cells." We already know that the Ahamkara were dragon-esque (wings + scales) so it doesn't make sense that Oryx would want to imprison his gods.

  • And I'm not saying the Ahamkara are Worms. I provide evidence, I make connections, and I conclude that the Worms are individuals of the Ahamkara race

But there is nothing that suggests that the Worms are Ahamkara. You're concluding it from their speech pattern or description, not from the Ahamkara or Worms saying that they are the same species.

  • First off, that card is from Xivu's PoV. Second, the Worms are their patrons. The Hive see themselves as special because they alone were chosen as the Darkness's heralds. When they see their gods helping other races, they get kinda pissed
