You just have to keep ranking up until you get a shader. Doublecheck the shader kiosk just to make sure. If you don't have one, then you have to wait until you get one. Bungie won't give you one either. It's all part of the game grind.

maybe i'm missing something here....i have run a couple of heroic strikes with the dead orbit armor, emblem and shader but its not showing progress after complete two strikes. What could i be missing? emblem - Omen of Choas shader - the hanged man class armor - spektar heliopause helm/gauntlets and titian mark just to be on the safe side.

The spektar stuff is bugged and doesn't count as the class item for some reason. Equip a regular heliopause cloak.
