Destiny is good. Last year all I played was destiny. But it just demands to much time, the content gets a little repetitive and multiplayer is just a mess of unbalanced guns. I only really play destiny right now because of iron banner(love the gear). Mean while halo has a way better multiplayer! It's a lot more fluid, it's 60fps and balanced. There's also no lag due to dedicated servers and it will only get better as more free dlc is released. I'll still go back to destiny from time to time but at the end of the day halo is way better.
