I think it'd be great if they actually put weapons into the game that the community came up with... a great way for them to be closer to their players.
They did, you know touch of malice? Yeah those son of a bitches jacked my idea for an exoric hand canno and turned it into a scout and did I get credit for it, -blam!- no.
Literally the perks touch of malice has except mine was centered around PvP. A hand cannon that rewarded a skilled hand but also punished you if you couldn't consistently hit precision shots. Essentially this:
Exotic Hand cannon: Reaper's Scythe
Description: If there is a hell, not even the devil himself has reign over this weapon born of hatred and darkness.
1st perk (unlocked on it's own): Third eye
1st perk set: unflinching or speed reload
2nd perk set: Braced frame or oiled frame
Exotic perk: Reaper's shot- This weapon does bonus damage when landing precision shots but damages the player for every precision shot missed.
This is also along the word of crota set hand cannons so it's high rate of fire type. Now isn't it ironic I posted that idea a month in advance to TTK and then it makes it into the game as a scout rifle rework to make it seem like it was their idea?
Hmm yeah who knows what they read in the forums and what they pick up... they're always distant when it comes to the community. You have my condolences.
Btw that hand cannon sounds crazy lol... miss a precision hit and ya get punished.
Exactly it was centered around a pvp focus since I really only play pvp anymore even though there are a lot of things that need to be changed. I mean if you wanted to make PvE a challenge then by all means this gun is the thing to challenge yourself with lol.
