Engrams color meanings
So does anyone know why the engrams are white, green, blue, purple, and yellow. Like 1 why are they only those colors and 2 why are they in that order from worst to best like is there a reason red isnt one of the engrams or why exotic is yellow i mean im not complaining i just wanna know if there is a reason

I'm pretty sure they took the same loot rating scheme from games like World of Warcraft and the Diablo series White/grey- common Green- uncommon Blue- rare Purple- epic Orange- legendary

MMO. 1.) white is common 2.) green is uncommon 3.) blue is rare 4.) purple is epic 5.) yellow is exotic/legendary/artifact
