[BUNGIE] Did today's update (2.0.2) require you to fully download Destiny: The Taken King?
If you are experiencing issues with Patch 2.0.2 (listed as Patch 1.18 on Playstation) and are required to download a full 18 GB patch set, please reply to this thread with the following information:
• Were any errors/disconnects encountered immediately before or during download of the patch?
• What region is your account located in?

• Patches on Playstation use different version numbers than Destiny's internal patch numbers. Patch 2.0.2 will be listed as "1.18" on the Playstation Home Screen
• Some players may see a patch with a total size of "18gb", but the download will already be mostly completed. This is expected and indicates that you are only downloading the difference between the previous patch set and the 2.0.2 patch set.

P.S. I thought that very few people on this Earth would have paid what I have paid for Destiny since midnight launch of Vanilla, over a gig per day plus some of the incredibly stupendously gigantic updates but I've actually come across two others in the same boat! (I live in a country town where my only option is a 4g mobile data plan on an ipad. My biggest bill so far has been $560 for the month that 2.0 came out with Destiny being, by far the single biggest data soak I have. I love your game so much but I just need to know.)

So what is the actual file size? I'm paying $10 per gig so I would most surely appreciate any information you might offer.

I have an error that shows up. The download prepares and stops at 3%. I've tried deleting it and restarting the ps4 and doing it again and that doesn't work. I am in the North American/midwest(Illinois) region

It's not just the appearance of downloading 18GB. I'm actually being forced to download the entire 18GB. Same as the last update. I can see it on my bandwidth monitor.

I have deleted and then reinstalled Destiny today, reset my router a few times and yet nothing is fixing the problem. And BTW when i did re-install Destiny this morning YES it did take 18Gb. It has been a couple days and I am still unable to play on my PS4....What is going on??????

I have had to download the 18gb patch every time you release an update since the update a week before ttk came out, very upset, if it happens again I will have to be done with the game I hate having to always wait for the 18 gb update everytime Region north America

10 RepliesI will have to delete Destiny soon as lag getting so bad the game has become worthless and sickening to play on the PvP modes, this lag has crept into the PvE arena to a lesser extent also. My connection is good and I'm set up properly portforwarded, cabled etc, etc, BT (British Telecom) have investigated and found nothing wrong my end. I want my account given some direct consideration and do not want this poor version of your game, I pay the same as everyone else I want the same experience, I do not want to be discriminated against ~ I get that in real life due to disability.

I can play every other game I have online and they all work, just can't install the update for Destiny. My Xbox One just says "There was a problem with the update" and no other error codes. My account is located on the U.S. Pacific coast. Oh, and I have 1.6TB of free space.

Yes I had to download the whole 18 gigs. I had an error right before download started because I didn't have enough available memory. I fixed this and restarted the download. Region: North America east coast

I can't even get to see mow much I need to download because apparently 27GB of free space isn't enough to even check that I don't need all 18GB of the patch, come on, is this going to be a regular thing? Every time I want to update Destiny am I going to have to be deleting other things off my PS4 now? if that's the case I might just give up on Destiny all together, after close to 600 Hours (maybe more by now I haven't checked in a while)

I can get past the sign-in screen, then select my character but after that all I get is the black loading screen then after a few minutes it times out and says "lost connection to Destiny servers...." but no name to indicate a specific problem...it's been 2 days and I have no idea how to fix it

Can't download 1.18 on PS4. I've tried everything I read in the forums since yesterday and no progress. I purchased Destiny when it first came out, skipped the DLCs and finally got back into it with the Taken King. Now I can't even play... Location: Maryland
