Hey Guardians,
so this idea came to my mind when i was thinking about the old raids and how we could bring them back to life.
What if a “Weekly Raid” was added to the Playlist just like the Weekly Nightfall?!
The Raids would cycle through VOG,CE,POE and KF and as a weekly reward we could get either a currency to buy 1 peace of gear at max light from a vendor or any peace of gear at max light.
Of course there would be normal drops in the Raid too. Also they could add modifiers to the Raids to spice things up?!

Edit: Yes i meant piece and not peace.
Piece out ! :D
Edit2: Woah, nice responses so far. You guys have some interesting ideas.

Edited by EpitomeofLowQuality: 11/19/2015 8:13:08 AMI see a lot of people coming up with ideas for Destiny, and I figure I'd add my 2 cents. This is kind of an idea for a new boss in PoE. Enemy type: Archon Priest Name: Lo'Cas, the Ancient Modifier: Lightswitch Appearance:
a hunched over Archon Priest holding a large staff tipped with an orb full of lightning bolts. He is garbed in a cloak full of holes and covered in many insignias from various fallen houses. His helmet is broken so that his mouth is exposed (think Elites from Halo). He has 6 arms, 2 of which are mechanical, signifying his importance and he uses two to hold his staff.
Mechanics (the fun part):
The boss will spawn with the Variks saying "Lo'Cas, the Ancient awakens from his slumber". Getting too close to Lo'Cas causes him to smash the ground with his staff, sending players off in various directions. He also has a low range teleport. He can shoot bolts from his staff similar to arcbolts or a large shock pistol which charges up to deal splash damage.
Lo'Cas does very little of the fighting, but summons various minions to help him. Servitors
The first example are his Servitors, which is signified by the text "Lo'Cas summons his Servitors". There are two ultra servitors which spawn, one named "Ethereal Servitor" and the other named "Energized Servitor". Both spawn on the opposite side of the room of the boss and start to move towards him. If they reach him they have a 10 sec timeframe in which they start to spin rapidly. If they are not killed before this time period expends then there are two outcomes, one for each type of servitor. An Ethereal Servitor will give Lo'Cas 25% of his health back and then turn to fight the guardians, and an Energized Servitor will give the boss a one time shield which does not regenerate and then implode. The goal of this stage is to destroy these servitors before they can reach the boss.
High Archon Guard
Another stage summoned by the boss is the Archon Guard. When this stage is activated there will be text which reads " Lo'Cas summons his guard". Afterwards, there will be a wave of stealth vandals, all of which are melee except for 5. These five are major Captains named "High Archon Guard". To end this wave you must defeat these members of the guard. They will be 5 stealth shock rifle majors. This gives players the Vengeful Aura buff, as well as stops the wave.
Electrocution Stage
The final stage type is "the electrocution" stage. This is preluded by the boss teleporting to the area behind where the boss spawns and the text "Lo'Cas gathers his strength". After this announcement, players have 7 seconds to get off the ground and one of the platforms in the middle. Landing on the ground will cause you to take significant damage, and dying on the ground will tell a player they were killed by "electrocution". For 1 min the Lo'cas will shock the ground and all the while line rifle vandals will be shooting from around you and melee dregs will charge you. Lo'Cas is immune for this period. Afterwards the boss kneels and guardians are given the "Vengeful Aura" buff
Vengeful Aura
Vengeful Aura is a buff for guardians which briefly increases damage against the boss for 30 seconds
TL;DR: OP has no life :(

His is how you make the new raid matter like Crota and VOG. Trash all Kings Fall raid guns and re-create them cause the current ones just aren't sought after anymore. Gone are the days of trying to collect them all because they were special and worth collecting.
-
Great idea what about every raid you compleat give you some item that can promote year 1 stuff to like 200 or something then you can infuse it to max light. Then my vex can come back.
-
yes, however, max light gear...unlikely to see that happen in my opinion
-
I saw leaked Dec dlc was all old raids and legendary gear now drop 300
-
This will be great But Bungie will not do it. Bungie has selective hearing and only listen/read things that they want to hear/read.
-
I like it. Would need a hard and normal version. Expect a ninja delete for making to much sense though. Bungie can't have people spreading around good ideas on the forums.
-
I like it. Or you could get one guaranteed raid item from that particular raid that you've had no luck getting.
-
This would introduce a good alternative to the grind. However, it would just allow Bungie to add content without actually adding content.
-
I've run the old raids enough. Bring on new content.
-
Yeah :/ trying to find a group to do VOG for No Time To Explain is a pain in the ass.
-
How about 500 rep
-
Or even a raid of the month
-
I loooooooooooove this idea
-
I think they should have a lvl 42 insane mode on all the old raids an rework the gear to year 2 stats.... Wouldn't take much time raising the difficulty or the gear stats an would bring back the other 3/4 of the game we already paid for
-
Leave modifiers to PoE and you can have playlist exclusive weapons and gear at 320 light but yea
-
I've been saying since TTK launch that no raid should be left behind, no exotic should be left behind, no strike should be left behind. This plays into my strong sentiments, so I'm all for it.
-
Keep Normal Mode old raids the same for new players. Add a 260-290 light mode with new year 2 loot boom lots of content....
-
you dont get it, there are bungie employees that dont know what they are doing. wrong job and position. small changes dont matter.... because they will -blam!- it up... again .... and again .... and again.
-
Make Vex and Nechro mats you need to upgrade a quest legendary to exotic.
-
I think the word you were looking for is "piece."
-
If bungie does like the idea it still wouldn't be implemented for at least 3 months. Due to the Black Ops 3 release, activision isn't going to let bungie to mention Dlc or anything major for that matter. Have to make their money treyarch right now

Edited by thekeyblade08: 11/17/2015 2:51:09 PMAnd what if they added new secrets to it. And if we solved those we could get new or upgraded exotics. Like maybe year two vex or year two necrochasm.
