Kd isn't really a good way to judge tho, I only did trials for bounties with friends who aren't that good in pvp, which meant I died more often than I had to, only started playing for flawless two days ago and played seriously. Went positive overall in those cards mostly, but I understand that kd is the main way to check. I think the dtr would be a better guide.

somebody has a 10KD, but loses 500 games in a row.. somebody else has a 0.10KD, but wins 500 games in a row.. second player has a higher dtr, but OBVIOUSLY sucks ass at pvp.. dtr means fu*k all..

I disagree with this, kd is always a big tell of a players ability in game modes like trials but dtr also isn't the clearest of markers as someone could play a lot and have a high dtr score and not be as good compared to someone with a lower dtr score who's better off. Maybe going off win percentage, but that could be skewed too. Or go for elo rating, that's a sure way of knowing if someone is any decent.

Some people are like myself and had to relearn fps since Destiny is so different from cod. But the rolling kd shows whether it's improving or just staying the same. Like my titan is just barely getting even, and I only use my warlock now for pvp. Well be doing the same with my hunter. Which means they will eventually have a better kd than my titan which I use to experiment with new weapons and tactics. Love my titan tho

Yeah that too, but elo rating is a way of calculating relative skill level in a pvp environment, check out guardian.gg and it might help you understand it better.

And my warlock trials peaked at 1173, really wanna see my titan but it's not logged on so I'm not able to.

My elo for my warlock is 1307 for my warlock, barely has any other stats recorded since I only use him during iron banner or trials. Gonna try and find my trials into now tho. Is gold rating ok?

Gold rating is pretty good and your iron banner is good. Just need to work on that trials one though!

Ok I'll check it out, see how I rate lol. My true skill is climbing in rift and trials, up to 17 now, but like you said that takes tone to build and is only a real factor if someone is ibn the 40's or above I hear. Anything less is trash
