It says 290 is the recommended level....my characters are only 296 and 2 292's. I've tried signing up on LFG but I either get taken off the list or booted while in orbit for not being 300. Do you have to be in the 300's for normal?

2 RepliesI'd rather have a guy 280 that doesn't die often and a vague idea what to do, than a guy 300 continuously dying and messing up

as long as the team average is 295 your good even with bad players though i know alot who play past their light level so if you're confident at 285 them you're good its all about learning patterns which a lot of people apparently can't do i played with an lfg group the other day and it was like monkeys trying to mate with a toaster over choreographing everything and literally wiping before the first ogre is killed multiple times it was bad they asked me before i left if i had died yet and i said no just after your wipes...i guess i just have level up my warlock and figure out a way to solo the whole thing

295 would be nice

285 for me. My first raid completion the highest was 293. 285 is ok upto daughters but you would have picked some higher drops by then anyways
-
Normal mode = 290
-
Minimum I require for groups is 290. 285+ if I know you as a friend and have raided with you before.
-
Trust me I know the feeling and you will eventually be invited to a group that is patient and let's you in...
-
Lol not even close. U could run it at 285 possibly lower if u wanted. And also had a decent group to help u through it without raging. Sounds like u just ran into a bunch of "try hards" who demand ridicoulous requirements

280 with good weapons

280. That was my light lvl when I first did it, and it was pretty easy.
-
1 Reply265. If everyone else is over 295.
-
Ill take you anytime it's easy especially if your 290

Edited by JTAssassins: 11/18/2015 4:14:38 AMI took 2 265 through normal through the entire raid we finished in under an hour they we're fast learners and great listeners so 260 for me.

My friends and I completed it when we were all between 292-297 light. Thing is, I was playing with friends. LFG groups demand higher light because they don't have the cooperation to handle a few lower light teammates since usually no one knows each other. If you're having difficulty getting into lfg groups because of your light level, I suggest you contact a raid sherpa to take you for your first run and teach you what to do in each section. The ones on the Destiny Sherpa reddit are pretty popular. Not knowing what to do and being <300 light makes it very difficult to find a team. A sherpa'd run will at least let you say you know what you're doing, making it more likely for teams to overlook the fact that you might not be 300 yet.

1 ReplyLight level doesn't matter if all you do is die. I played throughout normal last week and a 314 kept dying from ads.
