9 Replies[b][i]Bulls on Parade[/i][/b] [b]Southwestern Districts, Golden City[/b] [i]The land they had captured Southwest of the City had been reinforced by the Imperials not all that long ago, providing Venom Incorporated with a massive and protected staging ground for urban combat operations. From the desert, moving into the city, were four mechanized divisions, armed to the teeth with company-modified vehicles. Two groups were lighter divisions, moving through the city in MRAPs and assault vehicles. Their task was to search for and observe any Greenspear operations. If it got hot, they were given the kill order, and aircraft were on standby for engaging ground targets, A-10 Thunderbolt II attack jets. The other two mechanized divisions were made up of a compliment of tanks and IFVs, the make and model varying between those the company used. Bradleys, Pumas, and LAV-25s moved in formation with Abrams, Leopards, and Challenger II-Vs. Every vehicle had been specially equipped with urban combat fittings, as to survive any close-quarters attacks. Complimenting the heavy armor were soldiers, equipped with state-of-the-art exosuits and everything from handguns to anti-tank weaponry. Beginning in the Southwest, the armored column started to make a solid sweep through the city, locating and evacuating civilians, establishing checkpoints, and gunning down cultists and anyone who thought it wise to pull a gun on a 70 ton war machine. Their orders were to stop at the Golden Palace, and alert the Imperial of their actions. For this endeavor, Schrader put General Alexi Makovich in command. An experienced ex-Spetsnaz operator, he'd done his fair share of fieldwork, and proved his leadership capabilities to not only the Russian Federation but to Venom as well. He was a heavy-handed man, but not one to fly off the handle as easily as General Torrez. While Makovich led the men deployed on the ground, Agent Crow and Blackjack had deployed alongside Ranger recon teams across the city, sticking to the shadows. Their mission was much the same. Gather information, kill anything that attacked first, and continue to establish law and stability in the areas of the Golden City not totally under Imperial control. [/i]
