I agree, the media is directing us to what we want and I think my post has made those that really despise the media's ability to direct our attention. Everyone is right to say we have more issues than just Paris alone. I don't know where you draw the line on help, and that is a good reason why its not the place for a video game company to decide as people have mentioned in this post. My initial thought was those that lost loved ones and trying to show support in one way or another and sometimes it doesn't have to be money. But back to your point, the media is herding us, and I can see what I mentioned in this post further supports that herding our attention. Its too bad that trying to help can then support something negative. I learn more as I listen from people.

Nobody bothered to report on Beirut half as much as Paris because the Lebanese get bombed all the time. Media don't see it as newsworthy. Plus, they're majority religion is Islam, so most idiots would probably claim "They deserve it!" or some crap like that.
