Joining military soon but an "ex vet"? What? Does that shit make sense to anyone?

Obviously he used to be a vet, but now he's not. It seems the experience he gained from being in the army was somehow wiped away and it's almost as if he was never in the army at all. [spoiler]:P[/spoiler]
