Hand cannons in general were a bit strong, but thorn and the last word dominated crucible. While pulse rifles are a bit strong I don't think they are as rampant as previous weapons were. Someone already replied with some great ideas including reducing range of pulse. Part of the problem is once they deal with one thing something else becomes a go to weapon and most people gravitate to it (why not use the best weapon). Another problem is the community, people cry nerf...and they want it nerfed so hard it's not even viable any more, just look at auto rifles.
