Is Clash for Iron banner a good move?
I personally don't feel like it is, no objectives may promote camping. I won't be surprised to see people camping their own spawn with snipers and only occasionally venturing forward for special ammo.
What are your opinions? Would it have been better off still being control? Or another game mode?
[b][i]EDIT[/i][/b] Some very good points being made in favour of clash, obviously the blueberries having no clue of holding objectives in control was a major drag for everyone who knew to hold flags. Kills only should (you'd expect) be easy enough for those random teammates.
[b][i]EDIT 2[/i][/b] A lot of guardians happy for the change, which I totally agree on, many happy that they won't have to rely on blueberries to play objectives too, again I agree.
As we all know, the standard of players in the banner compared to regular crucible (barring daily modes) drops slightly, do you feel it is easier to carry a team to victory despite only a few going positive K/DRs?
[b][i]EDIT 3[/i][/b] Nice to see so many of you with constructive comments and reasoning to your choices, only a few toxic comments, who, with their stats, will not be enjoying the banner regardless of game type.
I'm definitely looking forward to challenging some of you guardians during the event and maybe even seeing you owning as the blueberries on my team too.
Most of all, I hope the banner blesses you all with good RNG (yes even the toxic commenters), we all know how bad it can be.

Well as we all know banner has arrived. And whilst I'm enjoying the change. Playing alone provides new challenges other than the mode itself. I've had to almost literally carry teams to a win on a few occasions and it's definitely not as fun (for me) as it used to be. If any of you are finding difficulty getting a group together for PS4 send me a pm and we could run together. My stats are available (PS not much history as was a new account)

Only thing I see will save destiny is if the challenges for the raid are worth the price.. main reason nobody plays is that rng wont drop you anything worth it unless your lucky so gets tiring and depressing play even though the content is way more entertaining than was a year ago.. If they make the rewards weapons and armor 320 with a weekly reset that will work a lot

2 RepliesMost of my friends won't touch Destiny since Fallout 4 is out. If I'm playing with random players, I prefer to not have objectives that require coordination. Instead, hand them guns and tell them to shoot away.

It's a good and needed shift in what we call Iron Banner. From my experiences, hardly anyone played the damn objective from time to time. I'm waiting to see what Saladin has to offer.

I just like the idea of something new. Lots of people complained about IB always being Control and wanted something different. We'll see how it works out but at least they're trying it. Plus I still need to grind out some more Clash wins for grimoire so this will be a good excuse.

Not for me because I hate clash. I may have logged back in for a bit of iron banner control but as it stands I'm perfectly happy to stick to black ops 3. That being said if the majority of active players think it's a good idea then it's a good idea, simple as that!

1 ReplyI'm fine with it. But I feel bad for those who aren't good in pvp u know? They can cap the flag and get the bounty done. Now it's a team death match. I wish they find a way to rank up ib without struggling too much. Good luck

Yes because some people don't even know that you're supposed to capture the control points anyway

It will be nice to not be the only one capturing points. Don't know why the concept of taking a zone and holding it is so hard. So many times I saw my team mates run past me in different directions and not help capture a point to only be slaughtered by a team working together.

It's a good change of pace imo. I'd like to see Control and Clash rotate since we had a whole year of Control.

Tons of people already play it that way and completely ignore the zones. It'll be nice to not have to worry about them and to have less conventional sniper lanes.

It seems that it will fit people's play style in iron banana better. Just kill shit rather than kill shit and control the zone.

It makes winning not based on if your placed on a team who does or does not capture points. Far to many times I'm with ppl who don't play objectives
