25,000,000 People bought Destiny

Multiply that by ~$100 per person and you have a multi billion-dollar enterprise. Eververse is also rolling in the dough for them. I don't understand why people think Destiny is "dying". It was "dying" at launch, it was "dying" in TDB, it was "dying" in HoW, at least a dozen other big-name games have "killed" Destiny now. Yet here we are, after TTK (an expansion that got rave reviews by players and critics alike), and Destiny isn't dead. It's quite the opposite. Sure, we ran out of stuff to do (like we always do when we play till our thumbs fall off). And sure, there's a lot wrong with the game and a lot to fix. But none of this is new at all, with any video game. Bungie and Activision are swimming in a pool of gold like Scrooge McDuck right now. 90% of the people that "quit" will be back with their next big expansion, plus during the Holidays droves of new players will come in like they always do. I understand that TTK is getting towards the end of its rope (it is for me too) but 90% of us will be back when the next DLC (or really any new content) comes out. I will be buying Fallout 4 and playing the hell out of that. But I will keep an eye on what's going on with Destiny and be ready for the next new thing. And so will most of you. ------------ I'll just leave this here, credit goes to broonzy1930 http://gamerant.com/destiny-sales-numbers-210/
