So how many worlds have Oryx and the Hive destroyed? (its a really big number!)

The grimore is great, it's well written and expansive but it's not great for establishing solid numbers. Still we can use the solid numbers it does provide in addition to our knowledge of Oryx and the hive to find out how many worlds have fallen to Oryx on the low end. First we have calcified fragment 22 (cf22) that tells us how after making their pact with the worm gods, Oryx and his sisters fought and killed each other for 20,000 years in worship to the worm gods. Then they set out to fight the light Next cf24 states that the hive have exterminated 306 worlds in an unknown amount of time after the 20,000 years of "worship" Cf 25 is an Ecumene report that dates a hive ship that left the fundament 24,000 after Oryx made his pact. So if took the hive a maximum of 4000 years to conquer 306 worlds. This means they have a low end conquering rate of .076 of a world each year Now we know that Oryx must fight conquer and kill just to feed his worm and survive so as long as he lives he must kill at at least that rate of a world every .076 years. In the mission Regicide, a ghost scan dates the Dreadnaught as being older than the Earth which is apparently 4.543 billion. Now we dont know how much older the Dreadnaught is so lets just add 24,000 years for a low end estimation. So we take the minimum conquering rate of .076 of a world every year × 4,543,024,000 years= 345,269,824 worlds on the low end

We still don't know the nature of time in Destiny universe, but we may assume it's relative like our own. So what about time in the Hive netherworlds? Would the phenomenon of time dilation still exist? There is little to suggest that the Books were objective accounts -- in fact, they are often written in Oryx's perspective. Would 24,000 in Hive-dominated space be equivalent to 24,000 Earth years? The numbers are fuzzy and the evidence is scarce, and I don't object to you trying to piece it together, but the only thing Ghost's scans were apparently meant to imply was that Oryx and the Hive are old in their own right... and old usually means power.

        You made some math errors, but your answer is close. 4000 / 306 = 13.071 years to conquer a world 4,543,024,000 / 13.071 = 347,565,144 world's conquered
