I bought a 24-inch iMac with 3.06 GHz processor, 1 Terabyte hard drive space, 4 Gigs of ram, and an Nvidia 130 GT video card with 512 MB video RAM. It was expensive, but it was worth it.
It came today, and I set it up quick.
An hour later, I realized that Halo was available for the Mac. I downloaded the Demo, and played it.
The graphics were shiny and detailed, but kind of choppy, and a lot of glitches, such as white flashing.
Is there anyway to fix these glitches? And where can I find Halo for the Mac for less than $90?

what? how is 200$ for home basic vista cost less than buying Halo for mac? Also if you are really pressed for it, buy crossover games. Play games without rebooting and it fully supports Halo for PC. Also jacob the first link you gave is the same as the egg-timer in windows XP and the spinning circle in vista. It just means it is processing what you want it to do. Also the second link is a kernal panic. Something that rarely happens on any *nix based OS and when it does there is good reason. Any webserver running a *nix OS is prone to the same thing.
Posted by: DusK Gaming problems? On a Mac? Who woulda thunk.
Looks like someone watched way too many bad Apple ads. Where macs NEVER crash. And also, if you want to game on a mac, just install xp, vista, or 7 with boot camp. It is way simpler and cheaper.

Yep, and if mac pros are supposed to be workstations, than they dont offer FireGL or Quadro cards, nor can you add one as macs are upgrade limited, especially in Video Cards.

Hey there. I am actually the one that discovered how to fix the shaders on halo demo. I can supply you with some links and stuff if you want to PM me.

Hi I own a high end gaming rig for half the price of a high end mac. And i'm a PC.

1. Just get Windows XP. It runs on over priced status symbols as well as pc. And it lets you get Halo custom edition. 2. There is a universal binary patch, but what is dumb is that they sell it after you shell out $90 for a copy of halo mac (halo pc is just 20 bucks).
