How might the Collapse start and where did the Great Machine come from.
How about we say that the traveler or the Great Machine got destroy by the human race because a fallen ship or transmission came talking about the Great Machine bringing darkness. So we can say that either the traveler destroy the hole human race then made ghost to revive them and make a fake history that he die or a Person went to the ball destroy hem and he created a huge explosion leaving hes huge ball intact cause he knew that one day that might happen and created that ghost before that with commands to revive the strongest people he knew or saw to persuade them thinking that darkness ( Fallen, Hive ,Vex, exc.) created the collapse as we see in the history.
The Vex are know what happens if they destroy the traveler cause they can go trow space time and create a simulation to know there next move. The Vex may of had created the Traveler sense we don't know if it is a person or a machine we can say that the Vex could of build the Traveler as a self conscious AI to exterminate those who did not accept the Vex ways or where in war for there materials or a especial thing. But the Traveler decided to just wonder off to destroy worlds making them feel like he is trust worthy, studying them how they do things to find there weakness and then strike. By either erasing there memories or just a full extermination of the planet.
The Hive seem like creators that use magic as there main source so we can't say the Traveler came from them cause Oryx could of just Taken hem. But from what we seen Oryx might of been a captain who had normal life like humans until the traveler came to there planet to destroy it but we can't say if he did cause there are no evidence.
The Fallen is really simple cause a lot of us know they suffer the same as us the human race but the Traveler seem to just leave the planet to die because the Fallen were not probably strong enough to destroy hem like the humans probably did.

4 RepliesWell the darkness came and we freaked out. About two minutes later in the panic someone hit the fire button on all nukes not aimed towards Russia and wherever the Traveler is. The Traveler, aka Lebron James, stopped because it was laughing so hard. It stayed for the next few centuries because he was taking videos of our laughable mistakes to show to his friends and submit to GFV(Galactic Funniest Videos). Eventually it gave us the "Space Magic" because it wanted to laugh at warlocks hitting Novas on walls, Titans fisting off the edge, and Arc Blade hit someone and send them flying. That is how we got here.

Damn it, I didn't fire directly at the Traveller! If it had attempted to leave, then yes. But the crippling blast came from my attack on the darkness, then it's attack on us.

1 ReplyRasputin crippled the traveller to prevent it abandoning humanity, therefore saving us, the traveller was not created by the hive as it existed before them and tried to destroy them before they came into existence. Possibly the vex have a link to the traveller as the heart of the black garden was linked to it somehow but the fallen or cabal are too primitive to have any realistic links to its creation.

10 RepliesLet me start off by saying this was absolutely cringe worthy. Did you read [i][b]any[/b][/i] of the grimoire? Like holy shit this is bad. Ok. So obviously we have no understanding of the Traveler whatsoever. The Traveler is the physical representation of the Light. Its goal is to bring peace to the universe by going around the universe nourishing its inhabitants and letting them create peace. The darkness is the polar opposite of the Traveler. Its goal is also to bring peace to the universe, but it believes the only way to do that is through destroying everything in the entire universe. The Traveler moved on from the Fallen after it felt that it had helped them enough and made its way to our system. Our discovery of it marked the start of the golden age. When the Fallen and the darkness came looking for it the collapse began. It is unsure whether or not the Traveler attempted to flee or not, but Rasputin the Warmind calculated that he only way humanity could survive is if it had the aid of the traveler, so it either nuked the traveler just incase it ran or as it began to run, we dont know for sure. After that, the Traveler knew it was going to have to stay, so it created the ghosts and the guardians to aid humanity in the fight against the darkness. Im not an expert on the Vex so Im going to leave that part alone, but I can 100$ tell you it is wrong. As for the Hive, Oryx was granted immortality by the worms. He made an agreement with the worms that basically said he needed to feed his worm with light and death and he would be granted immortality. The more planets he conquers, the hungrier the worm gets. If however he was to be defeated in his throne realm, his worm would die and he would die as he is far past his predicted life span by now.

Rasputin caused the collapse by shooting a big hole into the traveller because he's a little ai warbitch. Yes there is much more to that..But I don't want to fry op's simple mind :)
