Everyone should realize that year one weapons still rock. The only place they don't is IB, trials, and maybe kings fall(haven't tested). Best place to check is the sisters mission. When you drop in the water sneak forward, and shoot one in the head, then pull out your year one sniper and see the damage. I did it with ice breaker, and 1k, and the damage is pretty much the same. Given impact, range, etc. The difference is not even close to what you think it should be.
