I only used fusion rifles until the great fusion rifle nerf of 2015. They are very inconsistent and highly dependent on the quality of you and the other team's connection to the game. Stand still and shoot a wall and look at the cone hits. Do it again and see how different the pattern is. Now imagine that your enemies don't stand still like a wall. I'll try side arms again if I get one that I like. Haven't used one since the queen died.
