You read that right, 0-5 to a team of all 100-Yard Stare users
P.S. did I mention the hidden perk on that weapon must be "Colossus: Your scope does not move at all when under fire"
Edit: THE TROLLING IS REACHING MAX CAPACITY!
...we're gonna need a bigger boat chiefy
Edit #2: while I will not remove this post for historical purposes alas, the time has come for all those who have been accepted into my boat to say "So long and thanks for all the fish" some will never get it, some will, the smell of chum has become OVERWHELMING here, we set sail for calmer waters...

4 RepliesThe #1 reason most people use it in trials is because it's the only legendary sniper that can rez snipe
-
Holy.... I think you should put the fishing rod down.
-
Hidden hand does not reduce flinching hahaha
-
It just has nice impact for the revive kills. The aim assist isn't even that high, and it does bounce.
-
I remember the day where scrubs would complain about anything. Mostly thorn. I remember stating that the great players of destiny would adapt and still rise from everyone else. No matter what weapon they get handed, they will out skill you. That being said, quit bitching and take it! You lost, adapt, and get better for the next team!

1 ReplyLdr or longbow anyone? Thanks

Edited by enderjs: 11/9/2015 6:17:13 PMIf you can't beat them join them. My bet is once you switch to a sniper you will find it more difficult than you think. Don't forget Trials attracts players who play a ton of PvP. There is a huge gap between really good PvPers and everyone else. They make using every gun, not just the current meta, look easy.

Client side hit detection strikes again without being spotted The system continues to elude the proper blame and lives to fight another day
-
2 RepliesI use 1000 yard it does move when under fire ... It's used so much because it's so easy to obtain , has less aim assist than a lot of the other year 2 snipers. They would have killed you with any sniper
-
1 ReplyWere you a triple sunbreaker team at two wins? Hahahaha. You were fun.
-
Close the gap. Don't be peeking on a guy who you know is set up with a sniper. If you don't know where the enemy is setup then you aren't playing Trials correctly and would likely lose regardless. Both Y2 maps so far have excellent flanking lanes and cover when trying to push an entrenched group.

Don't poke your head out scrub

I'm not usually one to complain about the cheapness of any weapons (go ahead and look at my posting history if you want people), but 1000-yard stare takes the cake. I finally decided to start regularly PVPing again yesterday and every time I turned a corner - bang - killed by 1000-yard stare, whether they be far away or 5 ft away it didn't matter. The real problem lies in the fact that they just up and give this particular sniper to everyone as a quest reward and it seems to be viable in the hands of any Joe Schmo thus raising an interest in sniping in the crucible overall. Why try to 1-shot people with shotgun rushing anymore when you can 1-shot them from relative safety? I feel for your situation and can understand how aggravating it is as my first serious foray back to the crucible turned me off from wanting to waste time in there.

And sure the high AA helps but it's nothing near as cheap as LitC or something like that.
-
I prefer this meta more then shotguns. There ways to counter sniping, there's less ways to counter shotguns.
-
1 ReplyFor some reason, half of the people on the forums instantly become Trials experts when it comes to posts like these, when the majority are not good at all lmao I'm all for reducing AA on snipers.
-
3 RepliesWith stats like yours... I'd go all the way back to black ops 1 and try something called "combat training"
-
4 RepliesIf they hit you while you were actually hitting them with bullets then they were good. If it just happens once they probably got lucky. If the same guy was doing it constantly you came across an awesome sniper. Suck it up buttercup.
-
7 RepliesDo you want absolute balance, or weapon variety ? If we need balance then why not take everyone's guns away and replace them with super soakers ? Replace grenades with baseballs ? There's always gonna be a meta, and you're always gonna have to adapt to it. Get over your 'pride' or whatever you wanna call it and start playing the game.

4 RepliesI know how you feel. 1000 Yard Stare is a bs. Weapon and everyone will attack when you say anything about it. At first I use to hate using it until I kept getting murdered by. So I started using it and I notice it's much easier to use it than other snipers I have
-
19 Replies1000 yard stare and defiance of Yasmin are the only snipers that have ever shot me through walls. Sure enough, the both have above average aim assist.
-
2 RepliesIt's all about strategies and good teamwork, if you are blaming a sniper then you are doing something wrong
-
3 RepliesIt's pretty easy to adapt if you aren't stupid. Stay in close quarters and stay away from long hall ways. Easy as that

2 RepliesSo last year you never complained when losing to a team with longbow, ldr, her benevolence? Only reason people complain about 1000 yard is because it is the only high impact good sniper for crucible so everyone uses it.
