Fusions are filthy to me since plan c. That instant fire was a crucial save. But when I ran with long range weapons like scouts or high impact pulses, plan c without the perk was a solid back up with its come spread, range and impact. Sidearms I love but they don't go well with autos as they work in the same ranges I prefer a long range back up. Basically long range primary warrants close range back up. And close primary to long back up.
