The 25 Crucible kills at the very beginning probably took me the longest, because I'm not that good and I don't play it every day. If you don't know, you can skip this part on the other swords by moving them to the character who has already completed this step on one sword.
I ran it for 2 swords at once. Started on Sunday evening farming materials for each. That took about 4 hours total.
Then about another 4 hours total getting the ability kills, I chose arc and void. The ability kills can be done in PvP or PvE. Either The Dark Beyond or Siege of the Warmind missions work. I bounced back forth between the two to break up the monotony.
I finished everything up on Tuesday night so I only had to wait a few hours for arms day.
The strike mission took about an hour for each run. So it took about 8 hours over several days to complete.

Yes. Move your sword to your Warlock before you infuse it up to 280. The exotic quest begins once you get the legendary sword up to 280.

Ah. Yeah the crucible kills took me some time too. I'm not bad at it, but I did it by playing Control since I'm most familiar with that, and you're not really granted heavy every match as well as kills since there's the chance that it is taken before you even get there, or you are killed before and/or after getting it. The trick of switching the swords certainly is helpful lol. But yeah. Good job though.

You can get kills with swords without heavy ammo, but it takes two strikes. I got alot of my kills that way, because you're right, it's easy to get killed going for the heavy ammo.

Ah yeah, that's true.
