Overhead, two MH-53 Pave Low III helicopters moved to the landing area, both with their rear ramps open. Aside from both of their door-mounted M134s, both helicopters had an M3 Browning mounted on their rear ramps. As they landed, they kicked up clouds of dust. Staying on station, a full company of men climbed out, all in full heavy combat hardsuits, support soldiers. At the head of the group, stood none other than General Alexei Makovich.
-
The landing zone is quiet, for a moment. A series of heavy spotlights flicker on, and a group of soldiers in full MOPP 4 protection gear ride up in an ancient HMVVW. The one in the lead wears a general's flash on his BDU, and pulls off his helmet to reveal a shock of greying, short-cut hair, hard grey eyes, and a long knife scar down the side of his face. Hello, gentlemen. I am Brigadier General Roger Fairfield. This way, please. He gestures to a mobile command trailer.
-
Makovich is almost disgusted by them, his expression hidden by his helm. Gesturing to his men, the group follows, weapons out, but not drawn. The soldiers behind him show no emotion, no deviation. They follow their orders to the letter.
-
Fairfield opens the MCC's door himself. An Imperial General sits inside. Fairfield pulls up a chair and sits across from the pair. Good to see that one of you could make it here. I assume you represent the PMC Team RADAR made contact with?
-
Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 11/7/2015 2:34:52 PMHe stands, taking note of the Imperials and these other men. Da. And your reason for wasting my time?
-
Edited by Ex PI: 11/7/2015 3:42:29 PMWe wanted to negotiate a defensive pact, and we wanted to ask you a question. He gestures to a group of soldiers, who lead in a handcuffed and black-bagged prisoner. The bag is pulled free to reveal a very worn-down looking Ishmael. His armor is missing and one of his eyes is blackened. Why are you sending spies?
-
The Russian crosses his arms, and laughs. That little shitstain? A part of us? You've got poor information, comrade. Wolfe caught him shadowing us, warned him to -blam!- off, and he didn't. Sent the Courier after him, haven't seen the bastard since. Do me a favor, and kill him, da?
-
The General nods, pulls out a pistol, and shoots the captive. Take him outside. The body is dragged away and burnt. Now, back to business.
-
The Russian remains standing with his arms crossed, looking at the diminutive man before him. So what is it you want?
-
Edited by Ex PI: 11/7/2015 7:19:00 PMThe General stands and waves another man forward, who is wearing standard issue IZLOM-pattern USSR fatigues. His face is similarly obscured by a gas mask. You won't be talking to me. You'll be talking to Colonel-General Gagarin.
-
Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 11/7/2015 7:32:12 PMThen, whoever is supposed to, speak. You're trying my patience.
-
The man sits down, and begins to speak in Russian as Fairfield and the other soldiers leave the trailer I can see that you're a hard man to faze, General, if you have truly earned the rank. We require your help.
-
He replies in Russian, the accent slightly metallic as well. What is it that you need "help" with?
-
Transportation to this planet you and the Imperials have shown interest in.
-
To this planet?
-
The one these metal things teleported to. I understand you have some highly classified warp technology?
-
Not something I can hand over. You're on your own for that.
-
Understood. Thank you for your time. Gagarin stands and extends a hand.
-
He returns the handshake, towering over the other man in his combat exosuit. He makes leave back to the helicopters, and his men follow him.
-
Well at least you got that towering part right. Gagarin was only 5' 2".
-
Lol I know my Ruskies. But actually, Makovich looks like Mickey Rourke's Whiplash from Iron Man 2 in armor kinda similar to a mix of Carter's and Emile's.
-
I'm surprised the Markovich wasn't wigging out about being in front of Yuri Gagarin. You know, international space hero, cosmonaut, et cetera. Or at least an inquiry about how he was alive 13 years after being declared dead?
-
He literally gives no -blam!-s about the Motherland anymore. The Snake's stronger.
-
That's interesting. Brainwashing perhaps?
-
Nope, all you need is to create respect and hop on the recruiting wagon right after a team is betrayed by the Mother nation.
