You're thinking of harvesters, but yes, the description of scarabs is correct. I was hoping to see a description of what scarabs are made of. Hint: they're also the building blocks for harvesters

Well I know they are controlled by the sort of worm things in hunters(lekgolo I think) which are seen in the back around the power core

I think it was something to do with rebels and an asteroid belt I don't really know [spoiler]i haven't read up on halo lore in ages I'm trying to remind myself some of it with this post[/spoiler]

Pretty much. They had to capture Robert Watts, a rebel leader, who operated on asteroids. I don't feel like going over the details.
