I have not called for anything to be nerfed or adjusted in the crucible before and I've been playing since day one.
However, the ammo dropped for heavy machine guns is getting ridiculous. I use them myself and I genuinely see little reason to us anything other than Quilliums Terminus. No player should be able to continuously make kills and not run out of ammo until the next heavy drop.
They don't need a nerf but the ammo dropped certainly needs reduced.
Feel free to debate.

No. Nuff said.

2 RepliesNow,dammit this is getting ridiculous! Pretty soon Bungie-vision is just gonna emasculate the entire game and all we'll be able to use are emotes and foul language! (Then you'll claim emotes to be OP.)
-
1 ReplyYour choice. 4 truth shots or 45 quilims terminus shots
-
I usually have heavy until the next heavy round. Nobody outguns me if I position myself right and pray I don't run into a super lol.
-
2 RepliesAny good player, always has lmg ammo till the next drop
-
One word truth lol machine gun gotta get somewhat close u could truth ppl from across the damm map if u get close enough to die from a mg its ur own fault everyone knows when theres heavy out keep ur distance for like a minute
-
1 ReplyI don't care about heavy ammo in general...you can have unlimited ammo for all I care. But for the love of the almighty Jesus, please Bungie take heavy ammo off 3v3 game modes!!! I see no reason to have heavy on skirmish or elimination modes for example...

3 RepliesI think it should stay and rockets should give you more again. What's the point of getting 2 rockets instead of like 150 hmg rounds. I think some rockets might get 3 but I know on of mine with tripod and rocket ammo boots only got 2 which made tripod worthless
-
RL are in the game to counter this already.
-
4 RepliesOh look another crucibaby crying to nerf something else what a -blam!-ing suprise. Dude -blam!- off just cos you got killed by a high capacity machine gun.
-
agreed. to about 30 maybe? That prob still around 6 possible kills.
-
Most people run rockets anyways. Youbcan get on nasty kill kill streaks with lmg. And no they don't need a nerf!

1 ReplyF PvP, don't touch my shit.

4 RepliesThey did, by nerfing all existing Extended Mag into Field Scout and then making Extended Mag a relatively rare second-row perk. I have a .99 K/D, but git gud skrub.

Edited by TheWickedZaku: 11/6/2015 5:36:02 PMYou are crazy! First we had field scout . this made machine gun really viable in any game mode. Then they got rid of it and half all the machine guns mags that benefitted . then they released a series of machine guns with 30 to 40 a clip which is no where near as good. Now you want them nerfed even more? Just get out. Whatever you guys do in crucible always ruins everything's ng in pve. Machine guns are not the problem in pvp. Little babies are. And by nerf I mean the ammo drop you speak of.

I guess it's a good thing I love Super Good Advice... Give me one ammo drop and I'll still have bullets 3 games later! I'd give up anything to have a year 2 version. =(

29 RepliesSays i am not wanting anything adjusted then he says i want to adjust the amount of ammo dropped for heavy machine guns in the crucible. HYPROCRITE

Everyone has the same advantage. It can be beaten if you know it's there. Pointless post.

1 ReplyBack in the day, you could pick up an enemy players heavy if he still had some when you killed him. If you were handy with a m/g, you could roll the entire rest if the match with the good old thunderlord.
-
You would have hated me for my Holden's hammer last year, crowd control, counterbalance, field scout, aggressive ballistics,3 shot kill with a 50 round mag or belt

Machine Guns are more relevant now it seems than ever; I think because of how trash most of the launchers are in TTK, and Quillim's Terminus is just great. The balance in the ammo situation comes like this; you can pot-shot a rocket against a MG and kill them most of the time. In open spaces or in a favorable situation for a MG, you'll usually just kill each other. Ammo is also limited, but when you want something dead, rockets are a good way to go, and are usually strong against MG users. If you're fortunate enough, you can get more mileage out of a MG because of its ammo capacity. In most cases, enemy rockets will take out most MG users 1 on 1. If you are left standing post-heavy drop however, you have a large advantage over others without heavy ammo. Against fireteams, you'll also be considered a bullseye for an enemy super.

My corrective measure gets over 120ish billets I believe. You don't even know bruh
-
Meh. I only get like 1 and a half mags for my ruin wake. Yes that adds up to plenty of kills but it's a lot easier to get killed while using an MG than it is with a rocket.
-
I've made heavy last until the next heavy. And then that ran out used a super and hot more heavy. It just works that way sometimes. It's not common but it happens

heavy ammo doesn't belong in the crucible
my two cents
