How should this game be played? What I mean is can you be stealthy and sneak attack everyone or do you always have to be a badass?
Someone explain how fallout games are played...?

Play it how you want. There is no right way, but there are some wrong ways if you don't want to kill everyone in the game that can be killed.
-
Can play completely pacifist this time around so however you want.
-
Really how ever you want that's the beauty of fallout
-
Kill. Everything.
-
Hopefully Fallout's game is designed well enough that you don't have to be told by others how to play it.

Preferably with a controller, but anything that works works i suppose.

That's the great thing about fallout 3/NV. You can play any way you want. Hopefully 4 is the same
i can't wait to drop a grenade into some muddafukkin pockets
Different armor/perks give you boosts to stuff so if you wanto be sneaky, i think perception? is your key special, so find armor with that. Then you want perks with mad criticals on the first hit, so you sniper hits/knife takedowns do ALOT of damage. There's lots of stealth suits/suppressed weapons so being sneakys fun. Your not "locked in" to one style of play, your stats will just supplement it.

Edited by KingOvMoons: 11/4/2015 8:49:08 PMHowever you want to, you want to sneak around a camp and steal everything and not kill anyone, you can. You want to hang back and snipe people from a distance, you can.
What I do at the beginning of a play through of really any open world rpg, I look at the skills and perks and see how I want to build my character. Usually it's a Luck/Speech build in Fallout.
Edit: Forgot to mention, you won't really be able to easily sneak around at first, in true RPG form, you need to level it up, get the right perks behind it, and then it'll be much easier to sneak. Same goes for Speech, you won't be able to talk the pants off someone until you learn to talk them into dinner first. I hope you have fun and (if there happens to be a multiplayer mod ((fingers crossed))) I'll see you in Boston.

How ever you want.

With forks in the disc.
-
With style.
-
Sneaking is hard without melee or a suppressed weapon but is possible
-
Talking my way through is the way to go.
-
Stealth is an option Badassery is an option A mix of the two is an option
-
You can play however you want. It's an actual open world. Not that bs pos destiny pathetic chore that thinks that's open world.
-
You can literally play it however way you want. That is the beauty of fallout
-
Yes, you can go with a stealth build and go after perks that will help you in that regard. You can also build a character that will allow you to talk your way out of many fights. You can build a character that will intimidate any enemy you point a gun at and make them neutral/ally. You can make a great gun fighter. You can make yourself a great melee fighter. You can make yourself really smart to bypass entire levels of enemies with hacking or repairing elevators. You can make a character who can pick any lock to bypass other areas and enemies. You can max out your luck and have all sorts of cool benefits that will help you in battle. The full perk list has leaked, so you can look up every single ability now if you want.

2 RepliesYou can play however you want to play. That is why it is an rpg. You can focus your character on one play style or many. You can make multiple characters and they can all be completely different. Good or bad. Male or female. Stealthy/guns/melee. It's all up to you. Have fun

3 RepliesIt should be played as much as possible.
personally though, i never could pick one style. Stealth is fun. Guns are fun. Mini nukes ate REALLY fun. And melee is very rewarding. So yeah, all of em
