Why do the raid weapons suck?
Why are the raid weapons so garbage/mediocre?? I just got hallowed drystan and its not just meh, its god awful. The HC is also useless, any blue is better. Its such a shame cos they look so unique....
(The other too are OK, but thats it)
Considering the effort it takes to do oryx hard, this so dissapointing..
Btw im talking about primarys here.

Raid weapons are now essentially just infusion materials for your other guns. Some of them are useful (the pulse rifle in particular), but only when fighting Taken enemies. I've done the raid three times now all the way through, and I've had both the hand cannon and the fusion rifle drop twice and the pulse rifle drop once. I ended up using all of them to infuse other guns because of the terrible reload/stability stats they drop with. Sure they might look cool, but they are nowhere as useful or fun to use as weapons from previous raids.

They suck because the damage bonus on them is for an enemy type you barely fight in the raid.

The stability and slow reload is the issue. All Suros weapons seem way more stable and reload in lightning speeds compared to the raid ones, but raid weapons look way cooler. I have the auto rifle at 306, pulse at 302, rocket at 300 from first normal raid.

I've beaten oryx on hard 7 times and still have not gotten a primary or a helmet, ive gotten my first helmets from hard and they were all 300

1 Replythink they were originally ment to have elements, but due to balancing they scrapped that and destroyed the utility of them. you know, balance...

1 ReplyI really enjoy the raid weapons I have My Scout got the autofire perk on it which really helps (makes of somewhat useable in PvP, good in PvE). It's a good scout imo. The shotty is alright, not much special on it for me The machine gun.... yes. Just yes. I haven't had experience with the others yet, although I am hearing the HC isn't great.

Pulse, Scout and Machine gun, are the only good raid weapons. The Hand cannon with Firefly is ok, but I'd never take it into a Heroic strike. The Dniper is pretty fun in Crucible. [spoiler]My finger typed D instead of S 5 times, so I gave up[/spoiler]

1 ReplyI think the scout is pretty good. Actually got double hand cannon drop last Oryx kill. The higher one had firefly so not too bad.
