I play crucible but I don't do a very good job of it, does anyone have any tips?
I use a HC for PvE but struggle to get kills with it in PvP so tend to use my Bad Juju- it's the one I get the most kills with.
Any help? Thanks!
Edit 1: thanks for all the replies! But for everyone saying 'make a sun breaker' ain't going to happen so please stop suggesting it!

Knowing maps is the most important aspect. If you know exactly where your enemies will come from just based on radar it gives you a huuuuuge advantage. Getting your sensitivity right is important too

2 RepliesEdited by AscendantBarrin: 11/5/2015 1:07:31 PMBiggest problem people have is they think their character is Rambo. You are not going to take out all 6 enemies by yourself. Don't stay too close that the whole team gets taken out but numbers matter

1 ReplyUse sunbreaker or stormcaller

play it a lot, after taking a beating for a bit, you'll get a better feel of everything.

Unless someone is using a next big thing as a primary I pulled out a felwinters because I got pissed off

Find a buddy and stay behind him. That's the best answer I can give you.

Practice, know the maps, engage under favorable circumstances and always be moving. I found that it helps to play one or two games focusing on map movement, engagements, and target acquisition. Shoot first and profit.

The Hawksaw pulse rifle from the Crucible vendor is a good weapon to use in Crucible. The best thing you can do to stay alive and get kills is to not rush, and check your radar.

Don't overlook the void Walker exotics from year 1. Nothing manacles. Loved this gauntlets. 2 scatters and they add tracking. Void fang vestments are amazing when paired with sunsinger and the tracking grendades. The axion bolt is OK but primarily effective on the small maps with corners. Use your radiant skin and then pop your radiance to tank any control point. Vortex is cool for control but I prefer angry magic and shatter.
if any of the above is incorrect it's due to the fact that I'm the filthiest of scrubby casuals
Edited by StormBreaker: 11/5/2015 2:52:28 PMBad Juju/Red Death/Smite of Merain/Hawksaw All of those work well as primaries Secondaries, if you are a sniper then Eirenne RR4/Stillpiercer/1000 Yard Stare Shotguns/Invective isn't that bad/Conspiracy Theory-D from quest/Felwinter's Lie/Party Crasher+1/Matador 64 Rocket launcher with Grenades and Horshoes, good velocity and blast radius Hmg with high impact lower rof and good stability works well, raid lmg and the one from crucible

Use Red Death, don't rush into battles, always check your radar, don't stay alone, don't stay in the open and always have an escape plan.
-
Just keep playing. Find a gun you enjoy and run that. I prefer Monte Carlo or a high ROF scout to pulses. Secondary I prefer snipers. Again, use what you enjoy and just keep playing. Map familiarity goes a long way.

Use anything OP that you're comfortable with.

Use sunbreaker. Guaranteed 5 kills

3 RepliesJust keep playing, that's the best way to improve. Shoot me a invite whenever you're on, I'm always up for some crucible action

Just keep playing. Nobody became skilled at anything without practice. When I first purchased Destiny, crucible was my least favorite thing because I was terrible at it. Now it's the only thing I play, you'll get there. P.S: (If you see Forgecast in the crucible, wave at him.)

5 RepliesHC are in a bad place at this moment in time. Pulse riffle man. Map knowledge also.

Find whatever the meta is for your Sub-Class. Play that. Never be original. Do everything everyone tells you.
Welcome to Destiny, where only the meta is allowed
3 RepliesI will love Inferno trials. we need more of this most people will not get flawless so called the best players will struggle to get a flawless. it was surely pull out who's the strongest in the crucible and in PvP most people that play inferno are great players anyway. but not too many players can play without a radar and call himself still the best it's like taking someone that says they their best in the crucible and taking their radar away from them and seeing how they can play you be surprised how bad they really are. and how some average players would dominate the crucible without a radar. In this mode they should make a hard mode for trials and should give 315 or higher Tiret rewards for these high level players that still love playing trials after getting flawless. it should unlock the mode when you go to the lighthouse giving the higher tier players something to do after they've been coming flawless in trials
