I've always used pulse rifles and scout rifles since Day 1. So I have to agree with you to a certain extent, because pulse rifles are the dominating weapon type right now. But there are other weapons that work well, like Hung Jury, one of the Hakke auto rifles, and Hawkmoon. I'm trying to get back to using Handcannons so I'm really enjoying The First Curse. I don't like following the meta, it feels cheap.

See I have always avoided pulse rifles. Just my least favorite type. Now that I'm using them a lot and I'm kind of sad. That being said, I do like the roll I got on my villainy.

I've always been a fan them, ever since they introduced the assault rifle in Halo 2. But I get where you're coming from. Bungie is almost there with their balance, just some minor tweaks to auto rifles and hand cannons and it'll be fine. Just hang in there bud. If you don't want to feel cheap using a pulse rifle I would suggest going with a Hakke pulse, they have more kick because of their 4 round burst so they make you work a little more for your kill.
