Are sword kills even possible?
I have never gotten a kill with a sword in crucible, how do you people do it? How am I supposed to complete my exotic sword bounty? And the sword kills with a crota mask?

Get the heavy ammo. Then hide. Wait until the explosions stop, then sneak around corners until you have the right opportunity to strike. Then.......BLAM SHOTGUN IN THE FACE! OMG MOTHERF$(%*! DESTINY I HATE YOU!!!!!

Use a hunter if possible. Get heavy. Find a spot around a corner on the way to somewhere. Crouch/go invis. Kill people running by. Since you get third person it is really easy to get the jump on them. Also jump and swing if you are out of heavy. Seems to do more damage. I got 13 sword kills in one match and I suck at pvp. The right map helps.

You have to use the shielding with the sword to get close to enemies. It worked for me, also if you are a titan use defender and bait people in or just use the blessing of light to survive longer.

Hit em with the hilt. Still counts.

I averaged around 7 kills per heavy so 4 heavies is all it took, the goal is to rush them then hide till your health regens, repeat until you die

Bladedancer cloak and then sneak up on people with the hilt and mug them in a back ally.

You can kill with the empty hilt, soften someone up with a nade or Handcannon shot and then hit them with the hilt. Otherwise camp the heavy spawn in control, or go into a Mayhem mode

Get some friends on and jump into rumble. My team did this, then the other team realized what we were doing and we all took turns getting sword kills and dancing with each other. No voice chat was required, everyone just worked together. It was probably the most enjoyable crucible match I've ever played

Run around with the hilt in rumble and steal kills. Even better it's mayhem rumble

I do it by hitting enemy combatants with a sword. Yes it is possible. I was actually better with the hilt. Throw nade...bash with hilt (no lunge...so be close). I used arcbolt, firebolt or that annoying void one to damage the player i wanted to bash.

HILT KILLS. kill anyone with 2 shots. Jump and hilt slice. Better chance of not dying. It is always easier with groups to use teammates as shields so you can get your slice in. You should be done in 2-3 matches

3rd person is your friend. You can see around walls. Remember that your opponents can't (unless they also have a sword). I had a few games where I went on 5+ kill streaks with the sword. I actually did so well with it a few times that I was thinking maybe I should just use it as my heavy. I never really messed around with blocking, but I've faced people who have and it can be very effective.

I got eight in a row on the cauldron. Have no idea what I was on or how I did not die. It's possible. I can go several games without one. Also, remember melee kills with the hilt count. Saw a dude in control running this the ENTIRE time!! Except when he got heavy.

Use 3rd person view to your advantage and wait around corners. You need to camp, also if you get heavy you can use the guard and walk towards someone while they're shooting at you and take them out. I usually just went all Rambo and started using the hilt, just remember you need to be in melee range and it takes 2 hilt hits. I have all 3 exotic swords so I've done my fair share of Crucible killing, mostly with the hilt just to get it done. Mayhem is a great place to get it done as the heavy ammo spawns 5-6 times a round so you can get it done in 1-3 games.
