1 ReplyGood, didn't make sense it previous games. Only way it would make sense, is if they slowly broke down based on how many melee hits you landed with them. And even then, it would justify how quickly guns broke down in previous games. Firearms were made to shoot and shouldn't break depending on how much you fire them. Now if they added a mechanic were you had to clean/oil them, that would make sense.

Kinda dumb. Granted I was expecting them to do it like they did Skyrim.
-
If you support this kill yourself, -blam!-ing casual.
-
Just another example of Bethesda dumbing down the game for kiddies

Repair was important in terms of the building of weapons. So if there is no repair stat, I assume all weapons will just start at the stat level is once you build it?
-
2 RepliesGood. Stupid as hell worrying about unique weapons breaking. Are there unique weapons this time around though? I heard there weren't.
-
1 ReplyYes! I hated carrying like 8 hunting rifles everywhere because my gun would break in half after I fired off a mag
-
I have mixed feelings here. On one hand, no more carrying around 4 extra weapons and weapon damage stays the same. But it felt much more immersive and added to the fallout experience. There is going to be mods for it so for those people who absolutely want it in FO4 just wait.

I always hated having 5 different weopons on me to make sure I didint have to stop what I was doing and go get new ones
-
Perfect. Don't care how realistic it is. I was overjoyed when Skyrim got rid of durability and repairing too. Hell I haven't finished Witcher 3 to this day because the mechanic is so annoying.
-
I'm pretty glad. I could not stand carrying 6 hunting rifles with me everywhere, so I could start repairing my rifle after every 5 shots... I mean come on--"Here's this beautiful futuristic laser rifle!!! oh yeah it starts to break every time you pull the trigger."
-
What skill am I suppose to rush to 100 now!?
-
Bad move, I enjoyed repairing, it made you use different guns.
-
Repairing wasn't fun but it was a good game mechanic
-
In a world where everything is hobbled together from scraps of a bygone era, having weapons and/or equipment degrade with use makes a lot of sense. With the focus on modding equipment having weapon degradation would encourage using different types of weapons.
-
I do think it made the game a bit more fun. Made ya really reconsider what gun to pull out if you didn't have a way to repair your best ones. But it was also kind of annoying. I'd have been happier if they'd just given the guns longer until they needed repairing, but no repair works too.pretty much, not a huge deal to me

2 RepliesDo they still break if not it's fine
