Vault of glass remains the best raid prove me wrong

Edit: just went 394 and 166 in skirmish with here after Come at me (The game glitches and never ended) Glad to see more day 1 players than the taken kids on here salute to you all Editing cause it was too long [b][i][u]Do not comment or bother trying to argue if you have like 2 raids completed or less than 4000 grimore. I'm going to just assume you're a bundle baby and required 300+ people to do the vault of glass on normal[/u][/i][/b] VOG- harder than kings fall Had much better rewards Wasn't long because one jack ass on your team couldn't do one of the 5 jumping puzzles, you went straight into the fights no bullshit in between Vault took 14 hours to complete by the worlds first Kings fall took 7-8 for worlds first Also I'm not taking into account the weapons we have as of now Yes I'm aware raze lighter shits on year one gjally pre nerf and that makes kings fall a bit easier but no. And I would have more kings fall completions but The rewards are shit I can never find a team to kill war priest on hard And I prefer trials over kings fall. Crotas end is a strike not a raid You can literally one shot ir yut* with nighthawk lol

    • My personal opinion: VoG is a good Raid. It is alot of fun to play. Best rewards to date, though the drop rate was bad. The other good things, the materials had use outside of the Raid. KF is a really good Raid mechanic wise. However, I don't find it as much fun, it is more tedious. The drops are pretty subpar, and the materials quite useless outside of the Raid. CE - well, an extended strike with not much for all but a couple of players to do to get the team through. Some decent gear. Materials only useful for the Raid. PoE 35 - Not a Raid. For it's time, once the burns were removed, it was challenging. Suffered from the fact there were no checkpoints and it was an all or nothing exercise. Required good team work. Rewards were crap. The exotics and materials were all available from lower level activity. The elemental weapons were absolute garbage. From an enjoyment perspective, VoG still wins out.

    • Vault: no one knew raid mechanics and had literally a week of experience with Destiny Kings Fall: everyone and their mother had played hours upon hours of Destiny, including old raids, so they understood mechanics in raids and were able to work better as a team. Also, many clans had been formed.

              VoG [spoiler] Opening door- stand in circles, kill ads. Defend confluxs- stand next to somethings kill ads. Every now and again kill a lot of ads at once. Defeat oracles- kill ads while killing glowing ads. Defeat Templar- grab relic(finally an actually mechanic) and shot boss to take shield, kill ads. Gorgons- hide from them? (Fun but is it really anything special?) Jumping- ultra short jump section (not puzzle) skipable by every class. Gatekeepers- kill ads for cover. People jump into a portal grab a relic and run out. Someone covers middle conflux, repeat on next portal, everyone goes in center to kill ads. Atheon- randomly teleports 3 people into portals. People inside grab a relic, kill ads, and run outside. Outside people kill ads and stand on plates so inside can get out. Everyone stands in center to shoot boss. [/spoiler] King's Fall [spoiler]Open doors- two people grab relics while others kill ads than put relics in statues. Than two run left, two right and two middle. Both left and right have one grab relic while the other covers and opens doors. Middle kills ads while left and right carries relics to statues. Swinging chandeliers- jump? (Does this even count?) Tombships- jump from ship to ship while they phase in and out of the dimension (tends to trip up a lot of people. Actually takes some skill with your class' jump I guess) Warpriest doors- two run left, two run right while two stay mid to kill ads. One person left and right will grab an aura and stand under a totem. The aura will go away and go into the person next to the one with the aura. The one who had the aura will get a power. The power will charge a door in the middle so that person will run to center to switch with someone in the center. This repeats till the door is open. Warpriest- there are 3 circles you have to stand in to start fight. Fight starts kill ads. Eventually yellow knights spawn once all are dead back of totems will glow. Stand on the circle in front of glowing totem til there is at least one person on each one. The last person to stand on a circle will get a aura. This aura allows everyone inside to deal damage to boss. The aura will have a countdown that will kill the welder. To prevent this the welder has to kill ads (best to kill ad at lower end of countdown). When 5 are killed aura guess away and boss summons oversoul. Everyone not in the shadow of a totem will die. Boss takes totem people hide behind. Repeat till dead. Gologroth maze- find a way out? (Should this even count? It's not even a maze...) Gologroth- shoot orb to start fight. Fight started kill ads. When ads die one person will run to either side of arena while other four will get ready to jump into pit. One person uptop will shoot bosses back to get his gaze. The four going into the pit will shoot down an orb. Orb will fall and leave a pool that gives a HUGE buff to player damage... [/spoiler] So anyways you get the point king's fall is an actual raid! VoG just has you killing ads over and over again Edit 1: I realize that you kill ads in king's fall but my point is is that in king's fall it isn't that point of every encounter. It's simply there to split your focus. In VoG the point of the fights are to kill ads.

                • Well lets see: Crotas end is a strike (if its lucky) Kings fall is a giant dps check Vault of glass is varied, it has interesting boss fights, non combat sections to break up the pacing and the fights almost seemed to be built up. When you get to the templars well you get the introduction to conflux defence and oracles, which at this point were completely new mechanics and felt like an introduction to an event. During kings fall the boss fights felt... Sudden, they appear at almost random points(except the warpriest deeming you worthy) in vault of glass you almost feel like you are either challenging the bosses by defeating their intro sequence or they appear out of desperation at your advancement through the vault. Some of the issues I have with kings fall mainly comes down to the architecture of the different races and their overall design. It makes sense the vex would have long complicated sequences to go through before things whereas the hive are more straight forward, with the bosses almost wanting to fight you.

                • Vog was fun, but if 1 or 2 people were clutch it was easy. In kf if 4 people suck you'll have a bad time. It's really about what you find fun. People enjoy different things. The coordination in kf has to be on point or you fail, in vault it didn't feel like that.

                • taken king hard mode is by far the hardest raid to date, vog hard is easy, reason why vog took 14 hours because the game was full of noob year 1 players as the game was bran new, now we have hardcore diehard raiders that raid all day everyday for fun played game since day1 and understand game machanics and content pretty well so no wonder people smashed taken king in shorter time ,taken king was rushed as everyone wanted there name on the leader bored for first 50 completions, and kings fall normal we completed in like 2 hours on day of release so dont know were your getting your times from

                • Vog is pretty mindless, u just sit there and kill ads for the first 30 min, run around for 5-10 min, "jumping puzzle" which is just one jump all the way down. Atheon is cool tho
