Saint Anger
Terra, Unknown Location Outside of the Golden City
The two EA-6 Prowlers thundered far above any anti-aircraft emplacements, scanning the ground below in search of their targets. The lead craft broke off and headed onwards, making headway towards the desert. Both aircraft caught the signatures of the the Necropolis and the Orkish fortress respectively. Recording the coordinates, the Prowlers sent them back to the fleet, and immediately they were sent to the fire control crews aboard the Mordred, the Excalibur, and the King Arthur. Each ship immediately began preparations to fire. At the bow of the Kirov cruisers, massive bay doors opened, and the massive Excalibur railguns rose into firing position. Once out of the bowels of each ship, they swung to port to face the direction of their targets, and immediately began to move their barrels upward. At the breach of each weapon, a massive rod was loaded in, and the breech closed with a slam. Up and down the barrels, the three weapons began to glow with bright blue crackling lightning, as they charged up to full firing power. Watching from the deck of The Razor's Edge, Blackjack witnessed the weapons begin their firing processes. After about five minutes, each weapon had reached its full charge, and the deep drone of each filled the air around the fleet. And so, the order would be given, a gruff, short command from none other than Venom himself.
Fire.
One after another, the three weapons went off, and deafening roars filling the air as they discharged. The three cruisers rocked heavily to port, and then leaned back to their normal positions, and each weapon entered its cool down process. In the atmosphere, the rounds passed into the uppermost layer, and then began their descent back to the ground, directly above their intended targets. Falling at nearly Mach 8, the depleted Uranium rods were glowing white hot when they slammed into the Necropolis and Orkish hideout respectively.
st anger was the worst Metallica album ever. They made much better music when they were on drugs
-
This is true. I just like the song title. Fits for blowing shit up.
-
Necrons are plot protected. Orks are also plot protected. Happy?
-
Uh, Shad? Before you two eat each other's heads off, you might want to provide a reason for the plot protection, like Necron shielding Monoliths or the Orkish psychic gestalt. Makes more sense that way.
-
I tried with him. Apparently his uranium cocks are capable of destroying everything ever.
-
I see... Blackjack, I believe you've explained the railgun and its effects. So why not just kickstart the next plot for everyone? It'd be a good chance for some action!
-
The current plot isn't over.
-
oh. Ok then. I'll let you two work it out.
-
No they aren't, notice how I never mentioned any effects in the post. I figured I was going for decent damage, not instant eradication.
-
Guess what? Didn't kill them all. Just caused enough damage to allow Imperial and Venom forces to make a decent push. If your plot calls for shitty combat tactics, so be it.
-
have fun nuking stuff, seems it's the only thing you ever want to do.

You're either autistic or ignorant. THE RAILGUN IS NOT NUCLEAR. IT FIRES A LITERAL PIECE OF METAL, NO CHARGE. NO FUSION REACTION. SOLID. METAL.
