Solution to "Touch of Malice required for Kingsfall hard mode"
In order to DPS Oryx on had mode, many require 5/6 members to have the Touch of Malice while Bungie released a gun that could serve the same purpose. Why not use the No Time to Explain puns rife? The exotic perk allows precision shots to return a shot to the magazine, so as long as your hitting Oryx's weak spot it should work just like Touch of Malice.

If you have ever done Oryx before, you would know that Oryx's chest is NOT a critical hit when you shoot it. Oryx has NO critical spots.

This won't work on oryx because you can hit oryx with critical shots jus body shots. You will just deplete your mag.

Shooting oryx in the chest isn't considered "precision damage" so nothing returns to the mag at all.

1 ReplyThe solution to this requirement is simple, just go and get the gun! If you're wanting to do hard mode then chances are you've already done normal. People ask for the ToM because they have put the time into getting it, so no reason others cant!

Oryx does not have a critical spot. No one should be doing hard mode without touch of malice. It's not a RNG drop. If you aren't committed enough to get tom you don't need to do hard mode, it's that simple.

OP asked a simple question, whether or not No Time to Explain would work on Oryx like ToM does. He obviously didn't know Oryx doesn't have a crit spot. I didn't know this either until reading the responses, and yes, I have NOT played the raid yet. Alot of people haven't, so don't assume we have. Some of you need to take a look at yourself and grow up. There's no need for some of the bullshit comments you post. Cheers

No crit spot on oryx where you normally shoot. Every now and then I'll get a crit on him but I'm not sure where I hit him..
