Stuck at light 290, cant experience Raids or Trials
i started to play Destiny 2 months ago, i love it, but i m stuck at Light 290 because i cant get a group to do the Raids and now Trials.
I think we should have a group making tool ig, i hate going to outside sites and the times i did ppl dont group me because i m new and light 290 lol. We should, have not matchmaking but, a group making system where we can apply to a group, put class filters, light level, check ppl gear, and then play.
Destiny is not beginner friendly, the community hates noobs and is not friendly, and ppl like me that dont have much friends playing the game cant do shit in Destiny, or it takes 3 hours to do a raid, then you -blam!- up because you are not experienced and get kicked.
I m sure theres alot of ppl like me that bought the game and 2 months in they are about to quit.

Edited by metallicaNLC: 11/4/2015 11:28:31 AMYou can do normal raid at 290 and trials. Recommended light for both is 290 Use lfg if you need to. I guarantee you can find a group on normal raid that would gladly carry you through if need be and teach you if you need to learn.

Best tip I can give you is create multiple characters at lvl 40 means you can so more of the nightfalls and shit that is going to drop high lvl gear. Go run a bunch of strikes as they also give you a chance at high lvl blues then infuse them and do normal raid once you've done them you will be high enough to do more stuff. Trials is also recommended at 290 so youl be fine if you are on at pvp. Best tip is do what most player do at the begging and create 2 characters the same class to boost the chances of getting drops for that character then delete it when you get above 300

I went flawless with NLB you light doesn't matter that much in trials man.

Grind baby grind lol u can get to at least 300 with out raid or trials As for doing a raid we all did it with out experience but we proved we could learn fast and stay alive not bringing every one else down one completion for each part should be more than enough experience

I made a related post to this today.. You can get roughly 308 light without ToO or the raid. Just need to work on quests for 300+ items, like the artifact, special weapon, and the exotic sword

You can get beyond 290 with engrams, exotic sword, heroic strikes. Just keep grinding and questing.

If people aren't letting you raid they are complete douche bags. My friend asked me to do hard and I said I couldn't because Im 302. He let me in anyways and we got to Golgoroth and a lot of people had to go. The raid is not hard. It takes team work and communication. Mind you I have 1.5 raid completions. 1 Normal and half a hard

Bungie seems to like it's players to go to outside sources for grouping and info. This is really my only gripe the lack of ingame cummnication and the bizarre vagueness of the info Bungie attempts to relay.

Id advise not being put off by the posts asking for high light, those dudes are slamming it 3× weekly and are just looking for a quick run. Thats cool its their choice. You can set up your own group though, just set it to 290 light, choose oryx normal fresh run. And ask for guys like yourself 290+ and first timers to go chill and check out the raid. It really is that simple man. Ive done it before in my early days before i joined a clan, id recomend picking 1 out in #recruitment too and joining one for max enjoyment.

Well if you were on Xbox one I'd have no problem running you through the raid. I think we should have a group of people that can sign up to help newer players run the raid to get them experience. It would make for a happier community. Not everyone wants elitist. I'm here for fun. Fun for me is seeing new people do things they never have done before and get excited about gear. Good luck on the light level.
