I'm a Trials of Osiris player, and mines is at 276.79 I'm not sure how its generated but i'm assuming that 450 is around the top if I'm at 276.79

Not even close. There's people in these forums with combat ratings over 450. I think it's a combined stat of your k/d ratio, assists and win percentage.
