One of the things I miss most about the gunsmith is reforge. Year 2 players may be unaware as to what I'm referring to, so allow me to hell you not be a guardian confused by a bubble Titan in crucible (yes they exist, Titans do more than throw hammers.) The gunsmith, during the last expansion of year 1, had an option that allowed us to reforge out weapons at a small fee. Reforging, in case you don't know, basically allows you to reroll your weapon or armor to find new perks. This was a godsend in destiny and took out a lot of grind time. Instead of constantly farming a certain weapon in hopes of the perfect roll, you could simply reset the weapon to try and find that perfect set up. The downside was that it made it easier for everyone to get those annoying one shot sniper perks or increase their shotguns range... But nonetheless it was a great option that I was pissed to see go away in year 2. With all the new shit being added, why take away things that made sense? So I ask of you, the community, should they bring back reforging? And if they do, should it extend to armor as well? Should they help remove some of the grind, or should we get stuck spending countless hours looking for that perfect imago loop? Edit: I'd like to add that I agree and disagree that it should just fade into the past and not come back. It was a great tool that saved us the trouble of finding all these weapons over and over again, but I do agree that it caused some major issues in pvp. Those issues though we're mostly due to over powered perks that were not balanced. Shot package and final round, to name the bigger issues, have been rebalanced. With that in mind I am all for a reforge 2.0 and hope if they bring it back they find a way to fix op perks or take them out of the equation. Entirely so as to not ruin pvp for everyone.
