The perk does just say 'grants shadestep' so you would think it should.
Edit: I was just trying to gather an opinion on whether the description suggested it should in fact work on other subclasses. I'm guessing the misleading description is why they changed it. On a side note, some of these comparisons are hilarious, keep them up.
Edit 2: some people seem to be getting offended that I was trying to gather opinions. It's just a game guys calm down.
Edit 3: Had to edit the title for those very special people. Also, so many idiots comparing this to wearing the impossible machines and having landfall for other warlock subclasses. :')

2 RepliesJust like, idunno, immolation fists grant explosive pyre, and the impossible machines grant landfall right? Enemies killed by FoH explode in firey chaining explosions. Self res miniFoH. Need I go on?
-
13 RepliesSure, if No Backup Plans works when I play Sunbreaker.
-
Yes!! Golden gun with shade step :0
-
Yes. Cus I want blade dancers to blink evade. Burn world.... burn.......
-
12 RepliesIf they do that, Warlocks should get The Impossible Machines for all three subclasses.
-
4 RepliesDoesn't the Twilight Garrison do the same thing?
-
My God you really want the crucible to be even more messed up. Why did you come up with this idea? It's broken when you think about it. And please if you try to say Sunbreaker and meta weapons that is just sad.
*slow claps*
-
4 RepliesCan I get death from above and headstrong with bubble? No
-
9 RepliesI don't get Flame Shield on my Voidwalker melee, so why should you get Shadestep...?
-
6 RepliesBy that logic Starfire protocol should give any subclass fusion grenades?
-
22 RepliesSo my ram should proc life steal on all warlock subclasses by this logic right?
-
Edited by dylangillian: 11/2/2015 1:19:24 PMi just want to be able to shadestep with my trowing knives.
-
1 ReplySounds like the consensus is that blade dancer should never have Shadestep and I agree! So just let me have it on golden gun instead :D
-
My roommate and I thought the same thing!!!
-
6 Replies*Grants shadestep subclass node
-
I main a hunter and I say no... Arc blade with blink and evade, -blam!- that.
-
The thought of a blade dancer shade stepping then blinking up and then shade stepping again to shotgun me in .00226001 seconds makes me cringe. For the love of all that is holy, don't donit.

1. Bias pole is Biased 2. I Agree
-
1 ReplySome of these comparisons are ridiculous.
-
8 RepliesNo, but it should be worded differently to avoid the confusion you obviously have had.
-
10 RepliesI was gonna make a joke about helm of inmost light giving my ward of dawn the death from above perk, but that would actually be pretty sweet if you could direct the bubble like the smash
-
You retarded or something kid? Blink+shadestep will be the end of crucible
-
1 ReplyHunters do nothing but blink shotgun or shade step all over the place, if you could use them both together I'd quit destiny.
-
-blam!-ing shade step and blink, are you crazy?
-
Would be cool but no. The 47% of us actually think about balance....
-
I agree, however it's a subclass specific exotic. Some other exotics grant grenade perks specific to a grenade not just subclass. But on the same note one exotic grants invisibilty regardless of subclass
