The perk does just say 'grants shadestep' so you would think it should.
Edit: I was just trying to gather an opinion on whether the description suggested it should in fact work on other subclasses. I'm guessing the misleading description is why they changed it. On a side note, some of these comparisons are hilarious, keep them up.
Edit 2: some people seem to be getting offended that I was trying to gather opinions. It's just a game guys calm down.
Edit 3: Had to edit the title for those very special people. Also, so many idiots comparing this to wearing the impossible machines and having landfall for other warlock subclasses. :')

4 RepliesIt would be nice if there was a good y2 exotic to use with Gunslinger in PvP, but I don't think it should work with the other subclasses.
-
That would be pretty cool but no, I wish there was an exotic that grants shoulder charge to any subclass A shoulder charging sunbreaker or defender titan would be god-like.
-
I main a hunter and it would be odd and weird to have it on all subclasses.
-
Put no but, only for hunters yes.
-
2 RepliesShadestep is a weird case because it's an ability and a node.
-
I wish, I was talking about this with a friend today.
-
It mentions it grants it from the Nightstalker tree when you go into the helmet's upgrades. But it would be cool to shadestep as a Gunslinger.
-
I'd love it but no, it shouldn't
-
Shadestep + Blink = way too over powered. It'd be impossible to hit someone abusing this. So as a person who mains Hunter I say hell no to this idea, it would be fun but waaay too powerful in crucible.
-
Should it? No. Would i want it to? Hell yeah

27 RepliesEdited by maseratiman966: 11/2/2015 6:58:07 PMThe Impossible Machines "grant Landfall" but obviously not for Sunsinger or Voidwalker because Landfall isn't present in the skill tree. This is stupid af lmao Edit: like with all armor pieces that grant skill tree nodes (like impossible machines) the helmet grants the NODE of shadestep, not the ability itself. Since the NODE is only available on NIGHTSTALKER, you don't get access if you're not a nightstalker. It's not that hard to understand. Please stop going full retard.

3 RepliesSo then landfall from the warlock gauntlets should kill everyone around a warlock when they self res? I main a hunter and I think that it would unbalance the subclasses man. That's just a bad idea.
-
10 RepliesThere are warlock gloves that says "grants landfall" does that mean I should be able to use landfall with sunsinger or void walker?
-
4 RepliesIt doesn't even work until you unlock shadestep. That's some bs.
-
Blink+shadestep =no thanks. The helmet is fine for Its intended use which is to be used with nightstalker. If you really want something for hunters buffed lets talk about how weak arc blade is in pve. Focus on the things that actually need to be fixed instead of trying to make a bigger problem.

8 RepliesNah, Gunslinger has Celestial Nighthawk and Bladedancer has Mask of the Third Man
-
8 RepliesThen I'd like shoulder charge on all Titan subclasses.
-
4 Repliesanyone arguing in this thread is fgt
-
9 RepliesNo, that's a ridiculous thing to suggest and it makes no sense considering thousands of exotics have the similar perks on them that don't operate that way.
-
2 RepliesShadestep+blink+QuickDraw or fleetfooted lol
-
1 ReplyI main a Titan, and a titan should not have shadestep. Doesn't, in my opinion, fit the class. Like blink.
-
4 RepliesTitan has twilight garrison warlock has blink
-
Yes that would be awesome! I was hoping it would do that before the expansion released. Sadly it does not.

8 RepliesEdited by FireDash: 11/2/2015 2:34:06 PMWhat a lot of you idiots are forgetting is that the Hunters are currently the most underpowered classes of all. Golden Gun is survivable, bladedancer gets wrecked by stormtrance, nova bomb, titan smash, and those damn hammers, and the voidbow, while very useful with negating supers, only works if you're skilled with it. Graviton working on all subclasses would even it up nicely. And landfall should not be granted to the other subclasses, because unlike shade step, it is directly connected to the use of a super whereas shadestep is just a neat trick that once again, is only useful with a skilled player. Shut you're mouth you butthurt Titans and bitchy warlocks. Hunter currently sucks in crucible, only truly useful against bosses ATM.
-
No that would mean you could blink and shadestep
