Let's be honest about Halo 5
343 killed it. Well worth the 9/10 rating. Wow is this a good game!

5 RepliesHonestly. Halo 5 is like a 6. Bad story with crappy cliffhanger, no Forge at launch, RNG unlocks and microtransactions with Req Packs, no split screen, custom games barely let you change crap, barely any modes. Like no KOTH, Assault, Oddball, Infection or Grifball. Just lacking so much. It may have possibly the best competitive multiplayer to date. And it looks fantastic. But that's it. I'd say it isn't even on par with 4.

Story is a mess, lacks pathos, little to no character development and does not reflect the prerelease story arch 2. Theatre is unstable 3. No forge 4. Micro transaction for power weapons and vehicles makes Warzone pay to win - one flick of the switch and its in Arena ! 5. No split screen feature On the positive side H5 features; 6. Exceptional artwork and sound scape 7. Music contains many modern classics 8. Technically solid (apart from theatre mode stability) 9. Warzone feature is fun and addictive 10. Multiplayer is excellent 343 could improve the 7/10 rating by; 11. Patching theatre (I'm sure they will) 12. Adding forge (this will happen in Dec) 13. Adding more maps ("free" DLC is on the way) 14. Adding split screen (don't use it myself but its a standard and desireable feature for many) Unfortunately there is nothing 343 can do to fix the absolute mess that is the story and Microsoft's commitment to micro transactions will not change. The combination of these swings and roundabouts will only attract a max rating of 8/10 which still makes H5 a success.

I agree. The campaign has a few major issues, but, at least for me, that doesn't detract from the outstanding multiplayer. I'd say 8.9/10. [spoiler]Did I mention that the similarities between halo 2 and halo 5 are uncanny?[/spoiler]

I think it's well worth it's rating. I haven't had this much fun with Halo since Halo 3, and it'll only get better with Forge and other content in December.

2 RepliesI don't see myself getting into Warzone but Arena is possibly my favorite Halo multiplayer since Reach. (Before anyone asks, I liked Reach a lot because I was good at it. I loved Halo 2 and 3 but I was garbage at multiplayer in those games)

Yep, very good game it seems. Especially online arena which is all most care about anyway. Don't know what 9 you're referring to though. It's got 1 that I've seen bit most are around 8 - 8.5 (metacritic critic (not user) review current stands at 85) Small difference only, but I'm pedantic like that lol Enjoy the game.

2 RepliesIt's lacking in content but what's there is extremely fun. Forge needs to be added very soon though or else they'll alienate a large portion of the player base. I'd give it a 7.5/10. Worth a buy.

7 RepliesBump. Everyone bitching about seem to have not even played it or they want Halo 2 mp back which was honestly shit, I'm happy to no longer be a slow moving bullet sponge. I finally feel like I'm playing a supersoldier.

I felt that Halo franchise revived with Halo 5 since Halo 3. I like the whole campaign and i felt that this game was an introduction to the team osiris and mainly spartan Locke for upcoming games which gives us a great break from master chief and add more characters to the Halo Universe. I sincerely prefered to play as Team Osiris than Blue Team, better and funnier narration (Buck), i saw more leadership in Locke tha Chief and they have my respect despite that they are spartan IV. Multiplayer is awesome. Almost every weapon is very balanced, almost No aim assist, movement and dashes makes you feel like a real spartan not like a turtle, symetrical maps, etc..

3 RepliesTotally agree, I mean being a halo fan since the beginning, I give it a 10/10. Halo 1 came out when I was like 12 and I've been playing ever since. They killed it with the Multiplayer, I'm about to finish the campaign and then do a legendary solo run, but they are doing real top notch so far. I'm gonna hold off on commenting, I hear it's a cliffhanger though... Must be why you gave it the 9 huh?

I wouldn't give it that high of a rating, at least not until more game goes come out. Right now there's just so little to play.
