Stormtrance - the worst super in the game by far.
Pretty underwhelming in PvE but in the Crucible, guaranteed to get you killed because you're not doing much damage and you're a fluttering duck, easy picking for any enemy nearby. This subclass does have one of the best grenades and melees in the game but the super just blows. Really, really, really blows. I've leveled all three classes and give the best supers to Titans by far. Hunter supers are fair at best and, if not for this Stormtrance dog of a super, Warlocks with their Nova Bombs and Radiance would be pretty close to Titans.
I expect the Hammer of Sol to get a nerf at some point but come on Bungie, while you're at it, figure out a way to buff up the Stormtrance and make it actually useful at something other than making you so much easier to kill.

you must be joking i just got mine on sunday night (i main a titan) and like it better than hammer of soul i got 5 kills with one activation in crucible

1 ReplyThen tell me why I clutched ToO multiple times with UNLIMITED POWER. Friday my team was dead and I had a pixel of health then i activated my super got all my health back killed the enemy team, then a guy self res'd I ionic blinked away any fried him a new ass. Then his teammate self res'd and i did the same thing. TL;DR It's good if you can control UNLIMITED POWER

4 RepliesLol if you say storm caller is bad you just aren't good. No offense but it's probably the 2nd most op sub on the game I shut down ANY sunbreaker with it.

Are you kidding me? I rarely use my warlock but just yesterday I got a reaper and it felt like doing no work at all. I use impossible machines for landfall and have Ionic blink so I can be on top of my enemies in seconds.

Titan: Hammer of Sol - run, just run, don't stand tall. Run, run, run. "Die another day" Smash - who cares he's only going to panic super 1 guy. Bubble - chill out and wait for his bubble to expire. Warlock: Twinkle Fingers - Snipe... Nova Bomb - blink. Self res - snipe Hunter: Golden Gun - snipe at distance or shotgun. 50/50 quick or dead. Blade dancer - laugh at him and flick him in the forehead. He'll die, I promise. Shadowshot - not really an issue, do people actually die from this?

Pff... someone doesn't know how to use stormtrance. I barely go into crucible, but when i do, im tazing people into the GROUND. I played some trials this last weekend and every time i had my super and it was heavy round, they all died. No Sunbreaker, Nightstalker, or other Stormtrancer could take me out. All you need to know is dont walk blindly forward at an enemy while you use it - you are ASKING to die. Seriously, no one complains about stormtrance being too strong because you can kill it, but no one says its bad becuase it has what every other controllable super has - kill potential.

I love it. I use impossible machines so I get a mini FoH and I can use Ionic Blink to out play sunbreakers PvE it shreds everything until you hit a major

I watched a vid of a guy who got 7th column using that super in crucible. It's great in PvE for clearing adds as well.

1 ReplyEdited by Sam: 11/9/2015 3:00:25 AMThe amount of slayer medals I've gotten with stormtrance begs to differ. It is a brilliant super. In pve you can clear the whole area with a single super, and take out multiple major enemies, making it the best super for add control. Transcendence makes it last for DAYS. And if you're clever with your movements, you can chomp a HUGE chunk off of an ultras health. It does the highest overall damage out of any super when transcendence is active.

I disagree. It usually gives me 3-4 kills per usage. Just need a good map with no open sightlines for it to be usefull. Dont forget to wear inpossible machines as well because landfall will destroy any nearby opponents as you go super

I don't know, I normally get at least three kills with stormtrance... and I usually suck at pvp. Stormtrance has boosted my recent kd ratio for sure.
