I like Halo 5. Story was great. Multiplayer isn't too bad. Graphics in the cutscenes are great. But, having played so long, there's many things I took for granted in Destiny that really make it shine and make it the better shooter.
-Every time I jump in Halo, I keep expecting to triple jump or warlock jump up to high places.
- Every time I melee, I accidentally boost in a random direction due to green thumb controls.
- Every headshot I make never seems to register, nor do they feel like headshots. In Destiny I know when I've gotten a headshot.
- I keep trying to pull out my sparrow.
- I keep wanting to pull out my ghost in general.
- I mIss having my favorite weapons on me at any time.
- Healthbars. Crit-spots.
Just a few things that make me think that Destiny is much better at being a shooter than Halo 5. Don't get me wrong, Destiny isn't all-amazing, and Halo isn't bad, but just many things make me appreciate all the cool things Destiny has.

4 RepliesThe reason the headshots don't feel like they register is because of the massively lowered aim assist in halo 5 compared to destiny, raising the skill cap
-
Same man that jump in Halo is not poppin. GIANT negative

Me too man. Me too

4 RepliesDestiny pve is good, but pvp doesn't even compare to halo as far as skill based multiplayer.
-
2 RepliesDestiny PvP is for casuals. Sorry if that russles your jimmies. I'm not even a Halo pro, but I shit on kids in Destiny's PvP and in Halo I actually feel challenged. Destiny's information output about your enemy is so high that your "skill" is reliant on this information. Halo takes way more skill than Destiny could ever allow.

4 RepliesAll these opinions aside, let's not forget Destiny is a new IP. This is what, like the tenth Halo?? It should be perfect by now. I am turned off by the cartoony, plastic look personally. Give Destiny a break, let's compare after 10 years.

22 RepliesThey're two completely different games.

Watched a couple vids from people with early access, and thats all I needed to see to know I wouldn't be bothering with it.

I hate being able to pick them up off enemies in the game vs. carrying them around with me in Destiny. I also like seeing how much health my enemy has because this isn't realistic and let's me know if I have to back off if I can't finish the fight right away. I need all these crutches because PvP in H5 is way too tough for me" Yup ... H5 is a horrible game because its lag free, has a balanced PvP, weapons are not time gated, there's no grind, and the graphics are smooth and fluid. Horrible horrible game. [EDIT: It appears most of the negative responses to my post are coming from PSN users. Yes, while you're entitled to an opinion, I don't want to make this into a console war. That said, how can you honestly have an opinion on a comparison between H5 and Destiny unless you've played both? Just saying.]

15 RepliesYeah. Reach was the last real halo for me

Can't compare these two games totally different

That just means you've been conditioned. It's not an argument for a better game.
-
Lol, you stupid destiny players think halo has magical powers, we don't want you any where go away

1 ReplyHow did you not bring up dancing? I missed that most. Also I -blam!-ed up on crouching pretty regularly

1 ReplyHalo, CoD, and Battlefield are the three most popular and well known shooters. None feature a health bar or a "crit spot", at least not in the same sense as destiny. Headshots always equal more damage. I don't think you know what a shooter is.

Every Bungie member is smirking with awesomeness because of this post.

Here's my experience. Destiny is easier, soooo much easier. Going back to Halo after playing Destiny for a year is definitely a shock. The reduced amount of AA is crazy. Which separates the men from the boys so to speak. You actually have to aim and fire a the right time to register a head shot. The story was shit compared to what was hyped imo. The graphics, the 60 fps are great. I love both games and will continue to play both. But in my opinion there is no comparison between the pvp balance or skill level needed to do well in either game. I will still play the shit out of Destiny pve but its nice to get killed in pvp and know that you've been outplayed.

1 ReplyThere's a difference between better and just being used to a different mechanic you know.

You're missing head shots because there's hardly any aim assist. Halo 5 pvp smacks destiny's in terms of releasing a finished balanced product that is competitive. Casual players stay on destiny where you get rng head shots in pvp for 152 and a one burst from a pulse rifle leaves you at 1/4 health. Halo has actual gun fights. Moving strafing jumping gun fights. Destiny has corner crouchers and hard scopers and floating tracking truth rockets from across the map with an increased height from 30,000 feet in the air, warlock melees through walls, curving fusion grenades around walls, short stop blade dancers, tracking grenades tracking rockets tracking melees wtf happened to aiming for yourself? Damn it sometimes I've gotten fed up with the amount of potential this game has.

2 RepliesHey. This is the internet. Your positivity has no place here. Have a nice day! Wait.... Damn

4 Replies"Playing Halo 5 made me realize: Destiny is better " You must have missed that Halo5 actually has a story..., told in beautiful cinematics. That it's sound is awesome and it's music is great. And..., oh, yeah, that Halo5 is at 60FPS....
