A meeting of the Greats.
Golden Palace, 1100 hours.
The first to call up the meeting was inquisitors Krieger and Gwayne. Next, was Eleanor Lancaster, Tempestor Prime of the 7th Baltic Manticores.
The meeting conveyed all the leaders of the Imperium that were currently present. From the Lord General of the 101st Vendoland to Roboute Guilliman, everybody attended. In total, there was seventeen attendants.
The Canoness of the Order of the Ebon Chalice, Canoness Lucretia.
The Inquisitors of the three Ordo Majoris:
From Malleus, Inquisitors Krieger and Gwayne, from Xenos, Obadiah the Sentinel, and from Hereticus, Lancelot the Pious. The two men came with the leaders of their Chamber Militant, Lex Aurellius of the Deathwatch, and the Canoness.
Then, Lancaster, Prime of the 7th Baltic Manticores. Followed by the Lord Generals of the three Imperial Guard detachments present during the Conflict; the green coated lord of the 101st Vendoland, Lord Brackus, the Newly appointed General Stubbs of the 8th Cadian regiment and finally, Lord Scurge, of the 412th Death Korps of Krieg. As for the Astartes, there were the Chapter masters of the Raven Guard, Black Templars, Blood Ravens, Blood Angels, and finally, Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines. Another figure watched Silently, perhaps overestimating his cloaking abilities...
"Explain yourselves, Inquisitors. Why have you called us all here, while we were occupied with the heat of battle?" Guilliman asked, looking down at the Inquisitors of Malleus.
"My Lord," began the Witch Huntress, "it is because we have found a threat, a hidden one, but a threat that could well mean the end of the Imperium.
"You mean like the Reapers? Who's bloody arse we just kicked?"
Spoke Obadiah, who was obviously moody about being taken away from disciplining inefficient soldiers.
"No. Much worse. An enemy you've met before, My lord. One whom you've worked with."
She looked at the Chapter master of the Blood Angels while saying this.
"Oh bloody hell with the Necrons again..."
"I have found solid proof that the Necrons have something dire in plan. I have seen it myself."
"And what proof is that?" asked Lancaster, who had arrived merely seconds late to the meeting.
"Traces, Routes, treasure maps, so to speak, pointing towards artefacts of a single kind. They want to revive a C'tan. Nightbringer."
"What preposterous claims!" shouted Lancelot. "To bring back a dead deity?! Impossible!"
"Impossible or not, they are hell bent on seeing this being rise once more."
open for observation, or if you have a high-ranking Imperial officer, feel free to chime in.
"And how would they go about doing such a thing?" "I am not sure. they have been collecting shards of the Nightbringer across the stars, massing them in their fortress. What I am sure of, though, is that we must stop them from gathering all of which they need." "And how do we plan on doing this?" said Stubbs, speaking on behalf of the other Lord Generals. "we have been approached by a... number, of strangers. They claimed to know the location of powerful military-worthy artefacts that could help us defeat the Necrons. And another ally has told us they could gather a last, missing piece before they could ever reach it..."

"Well that's bloody good and all, but what the blazes are we supposed to do?" Asked Obadiah, reminiscing of his talk with python the other day. "We draw their attention. I have found a hidden Necron base in the largest square of the city, and intel reports that all the other factions will be making a push towards the square. This is it, gentlemen. The final assault. If we can manage to vanquish everyone there, including the Necrons, the other enemies will be reeling. And then we can push them out. We'll suffer great casualties. We'll be taking a beating. But if anyone can fight through all of this, it's us. So what do you say?" Looks were being thrown around the table, until... "Aye." Said Obadiah. "Let's do this. I don't see why the bloody hell not." this drew a smile on the Witch Huntress' face. Next... "Aye." Said Guilliman, who's word of approval was enough to rally all the other undecided leaders. "what say you? Farseer?" The Farseer of Ulthwé, Vector, who had been standing in the room, cloaked the whole time, had been Discovered by Guilliman, who knew he was there from the start. Obadiah felt the rage build up in him, how could they allow a filthy Xeno in tje most sacred of places?! But he kept quiet, not wanting to rile off an argument. The Farseer uncloaked, looking around. He didn't like humans. Yet... these humans felt different. Strong. "My forces will accompany you into battle."
