Paying for TTK: a lamb chop's play along

I can't be the only one... Having bought the destiny dlcs one after another, I realized I was paying allot for my additional content. But I felt like it was important to support what is a relatively new direction for console gaming: adaptive, (somewhat) open world, fast and complex play scenarios, and a community as active as its players are numerous. Sure there were some frivolous and inane details, like the races, who by all accounts are like different coloured band-aids, but I believed. I believed that with the progression this game and its community had shown since launch, that I could expect a certain degree of fresh experiences, and started to trust in the machine that pumps out destiny for us. So, last night, I bought an XboxOne. It was a long time coming. My best XboxLive partner even pitched in to help me get it sooner. (No one gets left behind) I couldn't ask for a better scenario, and I knew that I could simply upgrade my destiny content to the One, so I went ahead and got TTK while I was still waiting for a new console. Here's where it gets dicey: like a terrible joke, or worse yet, an intended misdirection, it turns out TTK is the one dlc that doesn't upgrade like the others. The reasoning is obvious, maximizing returns on a product. Of course, you want your players to buy everything you make for the game, that makes sense, but to arbitrarily force me to pay for your product twice? No thanks. And to add insult to injury, before i realized what hit me, I decoded several engrams. They were all maxed at level 26, like Im not currently sitting on a level 40 character. If the One's TTK has functions or content that isn't on the previous gen version, I would stand corrected on some points... But I doubt they would warrant another $35. We see exactly how intended and underhanded this move really is. It's cheap, immature, and unbecoming of our community. Worst of all, it shows tremendous contempt of our relationship, as consumers, and warrants no respect from me. If I can't trust the company I support to equally value my dollar, I have only myself to blame for further pursuing transactions with them. Let's hope this isn't the face of the future in gaming. Sincerely, Not a sheep.
