I just dont like it taking up the exotic slot. I much rather use bad juju or malice with the raid sniper and do slightly less damage on the bosses but be able to handle all the adds so much better.

The raid sniper isn't the best choice, because the impact isn't that high. If you want to use a legendary, try Eirene or 1K Yd stare (or stillpiercer if you're a hunter).

I like it because i dont have to reload. I just switch back and forth between the machine gun and sniper without ever having to reload.

That's a nice perk, but for Warpriest it's not as good of an option.
