King's Fall Totem Glitch?

Has anyone else been struggling at the Totems checkpoint recently, whether it be in Normal or Hard, where the aura will not properly pass to your partner even if both of you are on the Totem and standing clearly tethered next to each other? Two nights in a row our group continuously was wiping at this checkpoint no matter what we did because the aura would not pass over. We started getting very frustrated and were paying extra attention to being near each other, but still running into times when the aura would just disappear, despite the debuff x10 appearing for the other partner. I read in 1 other thread that people have been dealing with this since the Halloween festival began, but I would like to hear further clarification. Our group was all experienced Hard mode raiders from Y1 and had cleared this checkpoint with ease previously in TTK. (Yes, I know I only have 1 Oryx completion so far, but have been up through Daughters 3-4 times). Any help, thoughts, or stories of your experiences with this would be greatly appreciated.   • I've had this happen numerous times. We have payed attention and stayed side by side and the Aura will disappear and show up where it spawns in. It has nothing to do with someone leaving early. We thought that at first. So we made sure we stayed behind long enough. A couple times I had the aura and then the countdown finished and showed me with deathsinger and the other person didn't have the aura and then it showed up where it spawns in. We have really paid attention to this and it has to be a glitch. Bungie, please fix. I don't get to play a ton so when I do I want it to work right. Last night we were breezing through the hard raid. Heck, we were breezing through Totums, got nearly done and it happened. Please fix.

  • Yup, 20160209 and the problem is still there on the right side. Cheese has been patched and now it almost seems like the buff is screwier than ever. I thought this was a recent problem because I never experienced it before, but it seems like its been going on for a while. After multiple wipes, we did every that was suggested on this page. Sticking around to shoot the knight, waiting an extra second, waiting until the person receiving the buff said he/she had it and still we were running into issues. I don't know what a 300/30 internet connection is, but we were all green barred and I plugged in by wire. Just an update really. Glad they fixed the ogres, just wish I could get past totems to see it.

  • Right side buff does not pass every time. This is still an occurring problem

  • Yes...this is happening again. Just happened to my group last night. No matter how much we "waited" for it to pass to the next player, it would eventually spawn to it's original starting point, forcing us to screw up our rotation and wiping. Only happened when we had about 2 sequences left.

  • We've had issues too. BOTH players on totem were getting deathsinger power and therefore leaving the totem and wiping or staying and wiping.....

  • Yup. Usually happens on the left side for us. But we adjust pretty easily when it happens.

  • Finished it again today no problem. It could be lag. I usually have the Team join me because I have 300/30 cable.

  • Happened to me. Going smoothly then we start to get damaged but our buffs/debuffs etc all seem fine.

  • Wait a second or two once the person gets Deathsingers before running. If they run immediately when they get Deathsingers they wont always pass off the brand

  • My team has run into this a couple times. Chances are someone ran too quickly or broke the link some how, not too sure. But we were in the same boat where everyone was swearing they weren't running early. Or solution is this. When ever you are the one in the middle, after you are done using your buff that person stands next to where the arua bubble spawns. That person stands there until they hear the person back on the totem confirm that the aura transferred. If it doesn't then the person on their way back waits until the arua respawns and grabs it while the other person stays on the totem. So long as you killed the knight up top and haven't taken too much damage you should be able to last long enough for the arua to respawn and run back in there before the DoT kills the person at the totem.

  • Probably because whoever is leaving the totem is either running to quick and the second person isn't in the aura to get it. Or the second person went to far out and wasn't in the aura when it counted down

  • When I see a video of two people side by side and one gets deathsingers power, stays for a few seconds and the aura disappears, I'll believe in it. Until then, people are running too early.

    • Have ran into this a few times. Although I can't specifically figure out what causes it. I think it has something to do with all 3 people standing on one of the side plates at the same time. Like for instance right when you start the totems. If 3 people run to the side plates at the same time its seems to screw things up later on when doing the relay. Make sure 1 person from each sides stays in the middle, to take out the adds, untill the first switch happens. That way you never end up with 3 at one side plate.

      • It happens, our group has the person moving to mid wait until the boomer is dead before you leave or make sure your partner has the buff before you leave.

      • It's lag. Destiny has been lagging big time since the festival started. Once you realise it's lag though, you can adjust. Just make sure you've passed the aura over before you go middle. For us that meant staying long enough to kill the knight before going mid. That half second was enough time for the lag to sort itself out. But this week has been painful raiding for the most part, even with higher levelled teams.

          • I can confirm this issue before the festival. We had this issue when normal 1st dropped. It's happens to us about 2x each week. Sometimes we are able to get the bubble without a wile, sometimes we aren't.

          • Can confirm. Around 11am the day the festival launched, my group started having major problems in the raid. Every checkpoint was bugging out and causing wipe after wipe. We to had the same problem at the totems. Going to orbit and coming back didn't seem to help much either. Eventually we got passed totems though.

            • You are standing on the center plate till the Deathsinger counts down to Zero? Either I never paid attention before and just stood there properly taking care of adds. Or they have shrunk the radius. I was having the same issue as you and realized I was waiting for the aurora to pass and still had deathsingerx1. I have never had this issue till Hard Mode.

                • Do not leave the totems until the time has completely disappeared, then the other person will guarantee to have it, make sure you're not standing in the centre when you have no death singers power, when it's gone, just get back.
