I thought the same thing. Yet...
Let's take the warpriest for example. I was using the raid sniper when hard first came out as I got a 316. I've recently got my BS up to about 316.
I generally come out with top damage using both snipers. And comparable damage to boot. While the BS has higher impact than other snipers and the ability to fire the entire reserve without reloading, it also has a much lower ROF. Generally by the time I'm finished unloading all my sniper reserves, the DPS time on WP is nearly over.
When using a lower impact/high ROF sniper, the sniper isn't my sole form of damage. I can generally fully unload all reserves with the reload time and get a full magazine from my scout, which is around 25 rounds plus. It works even better with the raid sniper (yes cocoon can be useful), as I can reload about twice, switch to scout and back to sniper when it reloads.
So essentially I'm doing the exact same thing as the black spindle. Continuous dps, which in the end results in more damage overall compared to the single DPS source from a BS. Black spindle is a nice sniper but not the best in my opinion and experiences.

So basically, your best loadout would be: [b]Sleeper Simulant[/b]: Fire the first 3 shots then switch to... Raid Sniper: Empty your magazine on the boss weak point, then switch to... Raid Scout: Same as sniper, but lower damage, it is just to avoid having to reload a weapon and lower your dps, then return to the sniper. It would be tested if you can switch between sniper and scout without having to reload any weapon. If you can´t, then i would switch the Sleeper to the raid machine gun and go like this: Sniper->Machine gun->Scout->Sniper. All the above in the understanding that we are in the warpriest fight and we have an excellent aura keeper. If any of those are missing, then i would go with the Black Spindle.

Actually it's called a clip as well. Magazine and Clip are two words that mean the same thing for weapons.

Still yet, I would imagine you are intelligent enough on the matter to infer what I intended, as I'm not exactly a gunsmith and not the owner of a gun that uses a magazine or a clip. I'll change it though so that your sensibilities remain in check.

A magazine can be removed from the firearm, a clip is internal and cannot be removed from the weapon, right? Similar, but not the same at all.

Wrong! Black Spindle out DPS's [u]ANY[/u] sniper with any perks, you can land 23 crit shots (with ammo perk) and still have time to either pick up special are fire more or pop a synth.

Yeah I thought that too. Until I obtained a decent rolled raid sniper and out dps'ed the black spindles in the group. Raid sniper with coccon and a scout with triple tap is insane. Wiped once on WP and was 250k above the second highest damage. They had a hard time believing me when I told them I wasn't even using the BS.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you were playing with horrible snipers missing shots, a [u]good[/u] sniper [u]wont[/u] miss any of his 23 shots, therefor [u]nothing[/u] out DPS's Black Spindle, no matter what roles you got.

If you are unwilling to test this for yourself to confirm such a thing then I have nothing more to say to you. Honestly I'd have to agree and say you were just playing with a decently shitty team than, spindle is easily highest dps weapons for warpriest and golgoroth My spindle is at 314 and with WoL and a tether I hit 129k per shot on golgoroth Raid sniper also has much lower impact

I can get all 23 shots of B.Sp. into the warpriest and still have time to switch to my primary. That just depends on the guy killing ads. Your dps also varies by factors like if a tether is up or if you have weapons of light. I usually out dps anyone who doesn't have a black spindle and I did to people several levels above me.

Depends sure. My group tends to maximize the time on WP so that's not much of a factor there. Anyways, when I don't use the BS, I have much more time to spend shooting with my scout. I've got the sniper perk on my chest so I've got 23 rounds with my raid sniper too, plus triple tap on my scout. Damages are comparable though between a BS and any other sniper. I can't say that BS will do any more than another sniper as I've out dpsed people using the BS. Hard to say, but in the end I don't see the BS as superior. Another sniper can easily compete with it's damage output.

Cocoon is a really great perk on golgoroth. It has a shorter DPS window, so you need to maximize the time you have bullets on. I use my Yasmin for 4 rounds, switch to my qullim's, put half a mag in, then switch back to yasmin for 4 rounds, then finish off my qullims. Depending on how the orb drop times up, I can then reload and get one or two more mags into golg before the gaze is gone.
