Even after shotguns have been "nerfed" again this weapon still has the range of a fusion rifle. (Exaggerated) but most crucible matches kill feeds are shotguns still. This weapon being the most popular...I think it needs to be looked at again, all other year 2 shotguns seem to be ok, even party crasher isn't as prevalent as I thought it would be. Conspiracy theory D seems to have the best lethality from a distance shotgun wise.. aka I hate it with a passion (conspiracy scrub D)
Thoughts?
I'll always stick to my fusion rifles! Even though they keep getting nerfed for some reason -_- seriously though..why nerf a weapon class 3-4 times that almost no one uses anyway. .

2 RepliesEdited by Esoteric_Joe: 11/1/2015 12:28:19 PMI've said it so many times, the problem isn't the range, it's the impact. I can easily hit a silhouette target with a 12 gauge, using buckshot or a slug, at 50 yards. Not just 6 feet. If shotguns were a two shot kill, with slightly increased range and actual damage drop off, they'd be better. The only way they should be able to kill is if all 12 projectiles cause precision damage. True, you couldn't drop damage too much because of the negative affects it'll have on pve (pvp should never be a higher priority than pve) , so you could still just shoot and melee, but I'm sure most would be trying to aim for a rewarding headshot, one shot kill. A lot of people have suggested this idea to bungie via the forum, but no feedback has ever been given to state wether or not they care to try something different, even though the current thing they are claiming is a "shotgun" is wrong and simply will not, and cannot work, period. But they're to stubborn to see that, its their game and they'll do it their way.

Thoughts: -Bungie removed a perk (shotpackage) which was not the problem. -Issue is the base range stat on shotguns altogether. With all the kinds of range boost perks and barrels that can be rolled, removing perks doesn't solve anything. -Lowering the base range stat (like it took months to do on TLW for some reason) makes high impact shotguns fit in there place (just beyond melee range) given that you have some many perks to increase what you, the player feels like is lacking. -Bungie then gives you via quest reward a high impact shotgun with respectable range THE CONSPIRACY D THEORY without balancing weapons. They nerf and buff and all these people cry about nerfing when the issue is things not being balanced. Just my thoughts :)

1 ReplyYou do know party Crasher is still in this game and it's year 2
-
Try probably number on used shotgun in pvp thing a beast even in pve
-
1 ReplyI dismantled that garbage
-
Never used one, chaperone is fun even though I'll rage about getting killed from conspiracy theory I love to go back to my roots with chaperone. But maybe nerf their base impact
-
Here we go again
-
I deleted all three of mine. Looking back I should've kept one. However they just look soooooooo bad I couldn't justify it
-
Yea they need to just remove it, I don't mind party crashers bc those usually take 2 shots unless your really close and you have to hit all pellets to get the kill, aiming for the head won't kill, but I bet it's the highest used secondary
-
26 Repliesi bet 1000 yd stare is also on that list. so if u want a shotgun nerf, then also nerf sniper aim assist
-
It's most commonly used because it's most easily obtainable through PVE. I pooped mine after I got a swag one. (Chaperone). Too bad I gave up on destinys garbage loot system. plays boarderlands

1 ReplyYou must not be a day 1 player... All people used to use is fusions and they are still op in the right hands
-
5 RepliesThey need to remove range finder from shotguns pool of perks, not sure how they missed this when hitting shot package.
-
3 RepliesEdited by XTempistX: 11/1/2015 11:52:01 AMMy full auto Conspiracy Theory-D hits as far as Found Verdict... I wish people would stop with all the "sniper shotgun this" and all the exaggerations (not directed to op, but directed to everyone). Tell Bungie that you think the +10% range bonus from range finder is too much so they drop it to +5% or remove it like they did shot package or maybe, just maybe tell Bungie that they are stupid as -blam!- for giving a high impact shotgun with range finder for free as a very easy quest reward.
-
Everyone is handed one so I don't know what's the big deal when everyone has one. Everyone has a 1000 Yard Stare.
-
It doesn't help that 9 out of 10 legendary special weapon engrams turn into Conspiracy Theory -D. I imagine everyone has their preferred rolls for crucible by now.
-
Scrapped so many of those!
-
1 ReplyYou're still playing destiny PvP?
-
1 ReplySo I guess they should just nerf what you don't use?
-
4 RepliesThe only reason you keep seeing this gun is because its free everyone has access to it. Invective and chaperone are 100x better hands down get good scrub
-
The thing is given as a quest reward. What do you expect? The reason you don't see party crashers everywhere because finding a good one now is like pulling teeth with how stingy the reward system is.
-
1 ReplyI prefer Invective, unload a clip of that bad boy into a HoS Sunbreaker and he's done. Good ole' full auto
-
Reason party crashes isn't big is because of the crucible loot bug
-
I uses only for its 300 attack. Got replaced by my 317 sniper so...
-
5 RepliesJust need to remove all range perks from shotguns would help move all shots to a even base range.
-
I have a non range finder D and it still gets wtf kills.
